Don’t confuse hand alignment with hand shift: hand shift moves the hands temporarily so you can see the display; it does not correct their position.
First, check the module number
Button sequences can differ between modules, and the available Casio instructions for Module 5707 do not establish that every GMA-S2100 variant uses that module. Check the module number printed on your watch, then find its corresponding guide through Casio’s watch manuals page. Casio identifies the GMA-S2100 as an analog-digital G-Shock family, but the product page alone does not confirm the module number of every variant: GMA-S2100-1A product page.

Alignment and hand shift do different jobs
Use home-position or hand-alignment adjustment when the analog hands indicate a different time from the digital display. Casio says strong magnetism or impact can cause this discrepancy. Casio’s Module 5707 alignment guide describes the correction procedure for that module.

Use hand shift only when the hands are covering the digital display. For Module 5707, hold B and press D to move the hands; repeat the operation or change modes to bring them back. This changes their position for visibility, not their alignment. See Casio’s Module 5707 hand-shift instructions.

Module 5707: alignment procedure
Follow these steps only if your watch’s module number is 5707. If it is another module, use that module’s guide rather than assuming these buttons and stages apply.
- Enter Timekeeping Mode.
- Hold A for at least five seconds. Release it when 00 starts flashing.
- Use B and E to align the second hand with 12 o’clock.
- Press D, then use B and E to align the mode hand with 12 o’clock.
- Press D again, then use B and E to align the hour and minute hands with 12 o’clock.
- Press A to exit.
Casio says the watch returns to Timekeeping Mode automatically after two or three minutes of inactivity. The complete instructions are in the Module 5707 alignment guide and the Module 5707 operation guide PDF.
