Everyday care: protect the case, crown and movement
Raymond Weil recommends keeping the crown fully pushed in or screwed down. After setting the watch, return the crown to its normal position; if it has a screw-down crown, use the procedure in the manual for that reference to secure it. An unsecured crown can compromise water resistance.

Setting the date without risking damage
The cited self-winding mechanical manual warns against manually changing the date while the watch indicates a time between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. The automatic date mechanism is engaged during this period, and adjustment may damage the movement. This warning is specific to the cited manual; complications and crown positions can differ, so identify your exact reference and follow its guide rather than assuming every model is set identically.
- Find the watch’s reference or model details and locate the matching guide through Raymond Weil’s manuals and instructions page.
- Before changing the date on a watch covered by the cited self-winding mechanical manual, check the indicated time. Do not quick-set the date between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.; move the hands outside that window first, following the manual’s procedure.
- Use the guide’s crown positions and setting steps for that reference, then return the crown to its normal position. If it screws down, secure it as instructed.

Water resistance: what the case-back marking does and does not mean
Raymond Weil says the water-resistance indication on the case back may be shown in ATM, metres or feet, but it does not represent the actual depth to which the watch can safely be immersed. The exact rating and permitted use depend on the individual model; without its reference or case-back details, no specific immersion or swimming limit can be established. Keep the crown secured, observe the model’s instructions and do not interpret a marking as blanket permission to swim or bathe with the watch.
Water resistance can be affected by use and the condition of the seals. Raymond Weil’s international FAQ recommends checking seals at least every two years, or annually if the watch is worn while bathing. When to arrange maintenance
Raymond Weil publishes different service intervals in different regions. Its current US after-sales page recommends a complete service every three to five years, with the interval depending on frequency of use and wearing conditions. Its international FAQ recommends maintenance every three years. Neither interval should be treated as a universal rule for every watch and region: consult the applicable regional service information and ask an authorized center to advise based on your watch’s use and condition.
A complete service, as described on the US page, can include movement service or exchange where applicable, gasket replacement, restoration of water resistance, ultrasonic cleaning and functional checks. The center first diagnoses the watch and provides a detailed estimate for approval before work begins. Services and charges can vary by region. US-page fees to verify before sending a watch
The current US after-sales page lists a $50 inspection fee for items received for repair and a separate $32.75 return-shipping, handling and insurance fee if the item is returned. Use Raymond Weil’s after-sales information to locate an official or authorized center. For non-warranty work, the company says it provides an estimate for approval before repair; the cost depends on the nature and complexity of the repair and the parts required. After-sales FAQ and service routing

Raymond Weil’s international warranty page describes a two-year limited warranty for watches sold by an authorized dealer with a properly completed warranty card, covering stated material or manufacturing defects. It lists exclusions such as normal wear, misuse and intervention by an unauthorized person. The page also describes a one-year extension for eligible owners who register, subject to its terms. Warranty duration, eligibility and conditions can depend on jurisdiction and purchase, so check the documents supplied with your watch.
