First identify the fitted strap or bracelet: Baltic uses different change procedures for quick-release leather and rubber straps, quick-release metal bracelets, and the straight Beads of Rice bracelet. Follow the matching instructions below, then gently pull the fitted strap or bracelet to check that it is secure.
Identify the attachment type
Baltic’s Hermétique user guide distinguishes these fittings:

- Leather or rubber strap: a quick-release tab.
- Beads of Rice, Flat Link, or Mesh bracelet: two quick-release tabs.
- Straight Beads of Rice bracelet: a standard spring bar that requires a spring-bar tool.
Do not assume every Beads of Rice bracelet uses the same method: Baltic gives different instructions for the quick-release and straight versions.

Change a quick-release leather or rubber strap
Remove the strap
- Slide the small tab on the spring bar inward.
- While holding the tab in, gently push the strap away from the watch to release it.
Install the strap
- Place one end of the spring bar into a lug hole.
- Position the other end above the opposite lug hole.
- Press the spring bar inward while aligning the strap, then release it so the bar seats in the hole.
- Look or feel for the spring bar to click into place, then pull gently on the strap to check that it is secure.
Change a quick-release metal bracelet
Baltic’s Beads of Rice, Flat Link, and Mesh bracelets use two quick-release tabs. Pinch both tabs inward to install or remove the bracelet, following the same inward-tab principle as the leather and rubber quick-release straps. Pull gently on the bracelet afterward to make sure it is attached.

Change the straight Beads of Rice bracelet
This version uses a standard spring bar, and Baltic specifies a spring-bar tool for the job. Work carefully to avoid letting the spring bar slip or scratching the watch.
Remove the bracelet
- Insert the rounded end of the spring-bar tool into the side of the lug.
- Push the spring bar inward to release it, then lift the bracelet end link away.
Install the bracelet
- Place a spring bar into the bracelet end link.
- Seat one end of the bar in a lug hole.
- Use the tool to compress the other end while lowering and aligning the end link with the opposite lug hole.
- Release the bar and gently pull on the bracelet to check that it is secure.
Check the lug width before buying a replacement
Confirm the exact Hermétique reference and case size before ordering: lug width is not the same across all variants. Baltic lists the Hermétique Summer Pink at 20 mm and identifies vulcanized rubber, Beads of Rice, and Flat Link options for that model on its product page. For Hermétique The Rift, Baltic lists 18 mm or 20 mm depending on case size on its product page.

A retailer also claims that its straps fit Hermétique models with 20 mm lug width and use quick-release spring bars; that is the retailer’s compatibility claim, not a universal fit guarantee. Check your watch’s reference, lug width, attachment type, and any end-link shape before purchasing. The retailer’s listing is Straps for Baltic Hermetique.
