First, check the model number: the official CASIO pairing instructions available for this topic cover the DW-H5600 (module 3516), not a DW-GH5600. If your watch is labeled DW-H5600, register it in the CASIO WATCHES app and follow the prompts. If it is labeled DW-GH5600, confirm the model before using these steps; CASIO’s cited instructions do not establish that the two names refer to the same watch.
Check the model before pairing
CASIO’s DW-H5600 (3516) smartphone app FAQ and Smartphone Link guide provide the documented setup procedure. They do not identify a DW-GH5600, so do not assume the DW-H5600 instructions apply to a watch with that exact model marking. Check the model printed on the watch or its documentation; if it says DW-H5600, continue below. For phone compatibility, consult CASIO’s listing for your country and phone, since a current compatibility list is not established here.

Pair a DW-H5600 (3516) with your phone
- Open CASIO WATCHES. On the app’s Home screen, tap “+Register” to register the watch.
- Follow the app’s watch-operation prompts. The app will show the watch operations to perform. CASIO’s written guide does not prescribe one universal button sequence, so use the instructions displayed for your setup rather than guessing at a sequence.
- Accept the phone’s pairing request if it appears. On Android, select the pairing option when prompted. CASIO says this request remains visible for about 30 seconds; if it disappears, restart pairing from the beginning. Screen wording and appearance can vary by phone model.
CASIO recommends using the latest watch software. If CASIO WATCHES prompts you to update it, follow the app’s on-screen instructions. For an update, CASIO recommends updating the app first, keeping the watch near the phone, showing the watch’s current time, and connecting the watch to its charging cable in the charging state if possible. These are update recommendations, not stated requirements for ordinary pairing.

Troubleshoot pairing or an unstable connection
Start with the least disruptive checks, then clear and recreate the pairing only if needed. Menu names vary by phone, operating-system version, and region.

1. Refresh Bluetooth and check permissions
- Turn Bluetooth off on the phone, then turn it back on.
- Turn on location services and allow CASIO WATCHES to access location information.
- On Android 12 or later, allow the app’s Nearby devices permission.
- On Android, check the app’s Alarms & Reminders permission as well. CASIO also lists force-stopping the app and clearing its cache among its Android troubleshooting checks.
2. Remove phone restrictions and check watch mode
- Turn off the phone’s battery saver or low-power mode, and remove any setting that restricts CASIO WATCHES battery use.
- Confirm that Airplane Mode is off on the watch. CASIO says it prevents pairing or reconnection.
- Restart the phone and reopen CASIO WATCHES if the connection remains unstable.
- For iOS, CASIO identifies a large backlog in Notification Center as a possible connection check; clear notifications if that applies.

3. Clear the old pairing and set it up again
If the simpler checks do not resolve the problem, remove the existing relationship in each place it may be saved:

- Unpair the watch in CASIO WATCHES and on the watch, following the app’s or watch’s displayed instructions.
- If the watch still appears in the phone’s Bluetooth device list, remove that saved device entry too.
- Restart the phone, then turn Bluetooth off and back on.
- Pair again through CASIO WATCHES. If you deleted the watch entry from the app, register it again before pairing.
CASIO says data already captured by CASIO WATCHES remains stored in the app after unpairing.
