How to read the date
- Look at both digits in the large window.
- Read them as one number. For example, “07” is the 7th day of the month, and “28” is the 28th.
Mido describes the Big Date as a large-window display made with two separately rotating discs. The discs show the two digits that combine to form the date. Mido says the arrangement makes the date easier to read; its product copy also claims the numerals are “almost three times larger than those on watches of equivalent diameter.” That size comparison is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently verified measurement. Reading the display is not setting it
Reading the date does not require changing the watch. If you need to adjust it, consult the Mido user manual for your exact reference before operating the crown. Check the reference printed on your watch or its documentation before relying on details about its dial, strap, or specifications. The cited Mido product pages list Caliber 80 and a power reserve of up to 80 hours for the versions they describe; treat those as manufacturer specifications for those versions, not as a guarantee for every reference.
