On the Timex Harry Potter Expedition Scout, the hidden detail is Harry’s glasses: press the watch’s INDIGLO backlight and they illuminate across the dial. The lightning-bolt scar is a different feature—it forms the rotating second hand. The design is specific to the Expedition Scout, model TW6A05700U, also listed with the regional suffix TW6A05700UJ.
How to read the Expedition Scout’s dial
For the time, read the conventional hour and minute hands against the Arabic numerals and hour markers. Timex describes the hands and markers as luminous. The glasses are a decorative detail revealed by INDIGLO, not an additional hand or a time scale. Timex India lists the case as 40 mm.

- The lightning-bolt scar: It is the rotating second hand.
- The hour and minute hands: These, read against the numerals and markers, show the ordinary time.
The official listing establishes the lighting effect but does not specify the button procedure for this exact model. Consult the manual for TW6A05700U for operating instructions rather than assuming another Timex model uses the same controls.

Do not confuse it with other Harry Potter x Timex designs
The collection includes other model-specific motifs. Timex describes a Weekender with a Butterbeer second hand. Its separate Waterbury Skeleton Automatic has a skeleton dial, a Hogwarts crest at 12 o’clock, a second-hand sub-dial just above 5 o’clock, brown faceted hour markers, and an inscription on the bezel. Those features are not part of the Expedition Scout’s hidden-glasses design.
Timex’s Harry Potter x Timex collection page and its Waterbury Skeleton Automatic listing describe those other designs. The Waterbury page also lists water resistance to 50 meters and suitability for light swimming; that specification applies to the Waterbury, not the Expedition Scout.
