On supported models, the percentage appears at the top of the Quick Settings panel. For more battery information, open Settings > Battery; options and labels can vary by model.
Check the battery percentage from Quick Settings
- Wake the display if it is dim or off.
- Swipe down from the top edge of the watch screen. This opens Quick Settings, also called the Quick panel on some models.
- Look at the top of the panel for the remaining battery percentage.
Samsung documents the downward swipe for Wear OS Galaxy Watches, including Watch4 and newer. Samsung Community guidance for the Watch5 Pro places the percentage at the top of the panel, though the layout may differ between models. Find more battery information in Settings
For additional battery details or related options, open Settings > Battery. The available information and menu labels depend on the watch model and software. Samsung’s Galaxy Watch guide describes Battery settings and notes that features vary by model.
What to expect on different Galaxy Watch generations
Wear OS models, including Watch4 and newer

Older Tizen-based models
Samsung’s legacy Tizen developer documentation also describes a downward swipe to open the Quick panel, which includes status information such as battery levels. That confirms the general gesture on the documented interface, but does not mean every older model has an identical layout or label. Samsung Developer: Quick Panel.
Panel differences by model and region
Samsung says the Quick panel can be opened from almost any screen by swiping down from the top, while noting that available screens and settings can vary by model and sales region. Samsung Canada’s Quick panel guide.

If the battery percentage is not immediately visible
Reveal the full watch face
On the Galaxy Watch9 series, Samsung describes a simplified screen that can appear before the full watch face when Always On Display is enabled. Tap the screen or press a side button to show the full face. Samsung says support and behavior vary by software version and region, so this explanation may not apply to every watch. Use the panel rather than relying on the watch face
Some watch faces may offer a battery complication or information field, but face customization differs and there is no universal percentage field established across models and faces. The Quick Settings panel is the straightforward check when the face does not show battery information.
