The crown should be seated against the case whenever the watch is running.
Set the time
- Pull the push-button crown to position 2. This is the time-setting position for Une Folle Journée.
- Turn the crown in either direction until the rings display the correct time.
- Push the crown fully against the case to position 1. Check that it is seated before wearing the watch.
These steps follow Trilobe’s Une Folle Journée User Manual, which instructs owners to pull the crown to position 2, rotate it to set the time, and push it fully back to position 1.

Read the rotating-ring display
Une Folle Journée displays time with three rotating rings and a fixed pointer, rather than conventional hour and minute hands. The largest ring indicates hours, the middle ring indicates minutes, and the smallest ring indicates seconds. Use the fixed pointer to read the values shown on the rings. Use the correct crown instructions
Une Folle Journée has a push-button crown. Do not apply screw-down-crown instructions from a different Trilobe collection. If the crown will not pull out or return to position 1 normally, or the display does not respond as expected, stop rather than forcing the mechanism and contact Trilobe or an authorized service center.

Protect the watch after setting
Trilobe says the crown must be in position 1 while the watch is running and that it should be fully pushed against the case after every use. The manual connects this seated position with the watch’s water-resistance and advises keeping the crown pushed in; do not operate it underwater. The current collection page states 5 bar (approximately 50 meters) water-resistance for the collection, but variant-specific distinctions may apply. Check the exact reference and its supplied documentation, and do not treat the rating as permission to use the crown underwater or as a guarantee of safety in every aquatic setting.

For a crown or display problem, use Trilobe or an authorized service center instead of an unapproved repairer. Trilobe’s watchmaking services page recommends a water-resistance test approximately every three years and a complete overhaul every five to seven years. These are manufacturer recommendations; follow the documentation for the individual watch. Trilobe states that its commercial warranty against manufacturing defects lasts 24 months from shipment or hand delivery when the stated warranty-card condition is met, and that unauthorized repair can invalidate coverage. Check the signed warranty card and current service terms for the watch’s applicable conditions.
