To set up the Casio Pro Trek PRG-270-1, first confirm that your watch uses module 3415, then set its Home City and daylight-saving-time status before changing the clock or using World Time. The guide below follows Casio’s Operation Guide 3415; related PRG-270 variants may use different instructions.
Before you begin: confirm the module
Casio identifies the North American PRG270-1 as a module 3415 watch. Check the module number on the watch or caseback before following these steps. The official guide is dated 2013, so these button sequences apply specifically to module 3415 rather than to every Pro Trek.

Button names in this guide refer to the letters printed around the watch. In Timekeeping Mode, the display shows the current time and date; press D to move between modes.
Set the Home City and daylight-saving time
Set the Home City first: the watch uses the current time in that city to calculate World Time. Choose the city code that matches the location whose local time you want as your reference, then set DST to match whether daylight-saving time is in effect there.

- Use D to enter Timekeeping Mode.
- Hold E for at least two seconds, until “SET Hold” appears and the city code or name scrolls.
- Press A (East) or C (West) to select the Home City.
- Press D to display the DST setting. Press A to choose DST ON or standard time OFF.
- Press E twice to exit.
Change the current time or date
Once the Home City and DST are correct, adjust the clock’s time and date in Timekeeping Mode.
- In Timekeeping Mode, hold E for at least two seconds until the setting screen opens.
- Press D to move the flashing selection through the available settings.
- Use A and/or C to change the selected value. A and C select a city code; A toggles DST and 12/24-hour format or resets seconds; A (+) and C (–) adjust hours, minutes, and date fields.
- Press E twice to save and exit.
In 12-hour format, check the P indicator to distinguish afternoon and evening times. The watch’s automatic calendar accounts for month lengths and leap years.

If the time is off by a whole hour
Check the Home City before changing the hour by hand. Casio’s troubleshooting guidance identifies an incorrect Home City as a cause of a whole-hour time discrepancy.

Set an alarm or the hourly time signal
The PRG-270-1 provides five independent daily alarms, including one snooze alarm, plus an hourly time signal. Configure alarm times in Alarm Mode.

Set an alarm time
- Press D to enter Alarm Mode.
- Use A or C to select one of the five alarms.
- Hold E until “SET Hold” appears and the alarm settings flash.
- Press D to switch between the hour and minute fields. Use A (+) or C (–) to change the flashing value.
- Press E to exit. Setting an alarm time turns that alarm on automatically.
If the watch is using 12-hour format, verify the AM or PM indication when setting the alarm.
Toggle an alarm or hourly signal
In Alarm Mode, select the alarm or hourly time signal with A or C, then press B to toggle it on or off. The display shows the relevant alarm-on, snooze-on, or hourly-signal indicator. The snooze alarm can sound up to seven times, at intervals of about five minutes, according to Casio’s guide.

View World Time and change a city’s DST setting
The module 3415 guide describes 31 time zones represented by 48 cities; Casio’s PRG-270-1 product page also lists UTC. World Time depends on the correct Home City and timekeeping settings.
Choose a city and view its time
- Press D to enter World Time Mode (WT).
- When a city code is displayed, press A (East) or C (West) to scroll through city codes and view the time in another zone.
Set DST for the displayed World Time city
- In World Time Mode, display the city whose DST setting you want to change.
- Hold E for at least two seconds until the DST setting flashes.
- Use the displayed status to confirm the setting: “DST Hold ON” indicates summer time is enabled; “DST Hold OFF” indicates standard time.
This setting applies to the displayed time zone. If that city is also the Home City, changing its DST setting changes the Timekeeping Mode DST setting as well. UTC does not have a DST toggle.
