MR-G button sequences vary: the steps for Modules 3541 and 5526 are different, so don’t assume one set of button presses works for every model.
Find your MR-G module number first
Check the number engraved on the caseback or printed in the watch’s documentation. Use that number to open the matching Casio operation guide. The examples below explain two documented modules, not a universal MR-G procedure.

What you need to connect an MR-G to your phone
- The CASIO WATCHES app installed on your phone.
- Bluetooth enabled on the phone; Airplane Mode should be off.
- A phone and operating-system version supported for your watch. Check Casio’s phone compatibility information for your exact devices.
- The operation guide for your watch’s module number.
On an iPhone, CASIO’s troubleshooting guidance says you may need to allow Bluetooth access for CASIO WATCHES in the phone’s privacy settings.

- Install and open CASIO WATCHES, and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Follow the pairing instructions in the operation guide for your module. The button and hold time differ across MR-G modules.
- When the app and watch indicate that pairing is complete, use the guide’s phone-link procedure to connect them.
Module 3541: connect an already-paired watch
For Module 3541, place the phone within one meter of the watch. Hold button C for at least three seconds, then release it when “BLE” and “[CNCT]” begin flashing. If the watch does not connect, open CASIO WATCHES on the phone and try again. Casio says an idle connection ends after a configurable interval of 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Follow the Module 3541 connection guide for initial pairing and any other module-specific steps.

Module 5526: connect the watch
For Module 5526, when the second hand is not pointing at C, hold button C for about 3.5 seconds. The second hand moves to C when the connection is established. See the guide for Modules 3501 and 5702 for the applicable linking instructions; do not substitute the 3541 button timing.
Set or correct the time through phone linking
Casio says Bluetooth Mobile Link adjusts the watch’s current time setting while the phone and watch are connected. After linking, check the displayed time and date on the watch to confirm the result.

Module 3541 automatic adjustment schedule
For Module 3541, Casio’s troubleshooting guide gives approximate automatic adjustment times of 12:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. The guide says automatic adjustment pauses for 24 hours after a manual time adjustment or a Home Time/World Time swap. This schedule and pause rule are specific to the 3541 guidance; they should not be assumed for other MR-G modules.

The Module 5526 guide describes time-calibration signal reception and manual time and date adjustment as alternatives when phone connection or signal reception is unavailable. Manual adjustment controls depend on the module, so use the matching 5526 user’s guide rather than trying a generic sequence.

If your G-Shock MR-G won’t connect
- Check that Bluetooth is on and Airplane Mode is off.
- Open CASIO WATCHES and retry; Casio notes that reconnection can fail when the app is not running.
- Move the phone close to the watch. For Module 3541, Casio specifies a distance within one meter.
- If the connection remains stuck, restart the phone, reopen CASIO WATCHES, and try the module’s connection procedure again.
- If pairing still fails, delete the saved pairing information from the app or phone and pair again using the correct module guide. Casio’s 3541 troubleshooting guidance also describes removing pairing records from the watch if needed.
- Check your phone model and operating-system version against Casio’s compatibility information.
