Find the module number on your watch’s caseback, then follow the matching Casio manual. “Edifice chronograph” covers watches with different controls: some use crown clicks alone, others combine the crown with buttons, and some use a button-driven settings mode. The steps below are examples for named modules—not universal instructions.
Find your watch’s module number first
Turn the watch over and look for the module number on the caseback. Use that number to locate the corresponding guide in Casio Support. Do not choose a procedure based only on the Edifice name or the fact that the watch is a chronograph: the crown position, button sequence, and calendar-setting order can differ between modules.

The examples below show why matching the guide matters. If your module is not listed, use its own manual rather than adapting one of these sequences.
How the setting controls differ
| Module or guide | Control method | Calendar and time details | Phone correction |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5467 | Second crown click plus button B to select fields | Set time, then year tens, year ones, month, and day; day-of-week hand helps distinguish a.m. from p.m. | Casio documents automatic correction for a connected watch. |
| 5512 | Second crown click, crown rotation, and buttons A and B | Set hour and minute, then month and day; A selects calendar fields, B changes month, and the crown changes the day and year digits. Weekday is calculated from the date. | Casio documents automatic correction for a connected watch. |
| 5604 and 5639 | Second crown click, button A, and crown rotation | Button A cycles through year tens, year ones, month, and day after hour/minute adjustment. | Not stated in the cited setting instructions. |
| 5708 | Button-driven settings mode | Enter Timekeeping Mode; hold B for at least two seconds, use C to choose a setting, and A or D to change it. B finishes. Settings include Home City and summer time. | Not stated in the cited setting instructions. |
| 1343, 2364, and 5071 analog guide | Crown clicks | First click sets the date; second click sets the time and day of week. Distinguish a.m. from p.m. when setting the hands. | Not stated in the cited analog guide. |
Module 5467: set time, then calendar fields
Casio’s module 5467 guide gives this procedure when the watch is not connected to a phone:
#1 Best Overall
- Silver-tone watch featuring left-handed crown and black dial with 1/20-second chronograph function, slide-rotating inner bezel, and date window
- 45.5 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
- Quartz movement with analog display
- Stainless steel band featuring fold-over push-button clasp with safety
- Water resistant to 100 m (330 ft): In general, suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not scuba diving
- Pull the crown out to the second click.
- Rotate the crown to set the minutes.
- Press B to switch to hour setting, then rotate the crown to set the hour. Use the day-of-week hand to check whether the displayed time is a.m. or p.m.
- Continue pressing B to select year tens, year ones, month, and day in that order. Rotate the crown to adjust each field.
- Push the crown back in on a time signal at the top of a minute.
Module 5512: use A and B to move through the calendar
For module 5512, Casio describes a different field-selection sequence:
- Pull the crown out to the second click. The second hand indicates A or P, and hour/minute adjustment is available.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute, checking the A/P indication.
- Press A to enter month/day adjustment. Press B to change the month, and rotate the crown to change the day.
- Press A again as directed to select the year digits, then rotate the crown to adjust them.
- Push the crown in on a time signal. The watch calculates the weekday from the year, month, and day you entered.
Modules 5604 and 5639: select each field with A
The 5604 guide and 5639 guide describe a shared style of operation. Pull the crown to the second click to adjust hour and minute, then use button A to cycle through year tens, year ones, month, and day. Rotate the crown to change the selected field, and push it back in on a time signal to finish. Check your module’s manual for the precise field behavior before operating the watch.

Module 5708 does not use the crown-based sequence above. Casio’s 5708 guide says to enter Timekeeping Mode, then hold B for at least two seconds to open settings. Press C to select a setting and A or D to change its value; press B to finish. The settings include Home City and summer-time options, so follow the manual’s sequence for the specific item you need to change.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTraditional analog models: first click for date, second for time
In Casio’s analog guide for modules 1343, 2364, and 5071, the first crown click is for date and the second is for time and day of week. For the time adjustment, the guide says to pull the crown to the second click when the second hand reaches 12, set the hands while accounting for a.m. or p.m., and push the crown in on a time signal. Consult the Casio analog manual for the exact instructions for your module.
If your Edifice is connected to a phone
Casio’s guides for modules 5467, 5512, 5519, 5560, and 5429 say that connected watches automatically correct the relevant time and day/date settings. That capability is model-specific. Confirm that your module supports phone connection and follow its guide for connection and correction; do not assume the watch will sync simply because it is an Edifice.
Quick Recap
Before you finish
- Check the caseback module number against the manual you used.
- Confirm a.m. or p.m. where the watch provides an indicator; on other models, follow the manual’s method for distinguishing them.
- For a date change, use the field order specified for your module rather than assuming all watches set the year, month, and day alike.
- Return the crown to its normal position, or exit settings using the button sequence in the module guide.
