How do I set the time and date on a Baby-G BA-110?
- Press C until the watch is in Timekeeping Mode.
- Hold A for about two seconds, until the seconds flash.
- Press C to move through the settings in this order: seconds, DST, Home City code, hour, minutes, day, month, year, and 12/24-hour format.
- When the setting you want is flashing, press D to increase or advance it, or B to decrease or move back. The available adjustment depends on the selected field.
- Press A to save the settings and exit.
Choose the correct Home City and DST setting
If the displayed time is off by several hours, check the Home City code. From the flashing seconds setting, press C twice to reach the city code; press D to move east or B to move west. For a one-hour difference, check daylight saving time: press C once from the seconds setting, then press D to switch DST on or standard time off. Casio identifies incorrect Home City and DST settings as possible causes of these time offsets in its module 5338 guide.

Choose 12- or 24-hour display
Continue pressing C until the 12/24-hour setting flashes, then use D or B to choose the display format. If you use 12-hour time, check the P indicator when setting an afternoon time so you do not accidentally set a morning hour.
How do I set and turn on an alarm?
- Press C until Alarm Mode appears.
- Press D to cycle through AL1, AL2, AL3, AL4, SNZ (snooze), and SIG (hourly signal).
- Choose the alarm, then hold A for about two seconds until the hour flashes.
- Press C to switch between hour and minute. Use D to increase the value or B to decrease it.
- Press A to exit. Check the P indicator if the watch is displaying time in 12-hour format.
- With the alarm selected in Alarm Mode, press A to turn it on or off. Check the display’s alarm indicator to confirm it is enabled.
The guide describes four individual alarms and one snooze alarm. The snooze alarm repeats every five minutes, up to seven times. Select SIG and use the same on/off action to toggle the hourly signal. To test an alarm, hold D in Alarm Mode. Press any button to stop an alarm that is sounding. These functions and intervals are specified in Casio’s Operation Guide 5338.

Why don’t the analog hands match the digital time?
The hands have a separate adjustment from the digital time. First set the digital time correctly. Then, in Timekeeping Mode, hold D for about three seconds until the time flashes. Press D to advance the hands in 20-second increments; hold it to move them faster. Press A to exit. The analog adjustment procedure is also covered in the module 5338 guide.
What if the watch still shows the wrong time?
- Several hours off: confirm that the Home City matches your location or intended time zone.
- One hour off: check whether DST is set correctly for the relevant date and location.
- Hands disagree with the digital display: adjust the analog hands using the separate procedure above.
- Buttons or screens do not match these steps: check the module number on the watch and use the guide for that module. The instructions here are specifically for module 5338.
The module 5338 guide lists normal-temperature accuracy as ±30 seconds per month. That is Casio’s specification, not a guarantee that every individual watch will keep time within that range under all conditions.

Does changing settings require a battery replacement?
No. Changing the time, date, or alarm uses the watch’s buttons and does not require a new battery. If the watch needs a replacement battery, the 5338 guide specifies two SR726W silver-oxide batteries. Casio estimates about two years of battery life under its stated usage assumptions: alarm operation for 20 seconds per day and one 1.5-second illumination operation per day. This is a manufacturer estimate, not an independent test; consult the guide or a qualified watch service provider for replacement details.
