For the G-Shock Frogman GWF-D1000 (module 3445), the triple sensor measures depth, bearing and temperature; the tide graph is a separate time-display feature. To view and calibrate the graph, use the watch’s Tide/Moon Mode and set its high-tide time from local tide information. These instructions are specific to module 3445: check the model and module number before following them, because Frogman menus vary.
What the GWF-D1000 sensors measure
Casio describes the GWF-D1000’s triple sensor as measuring water depth, bearing and temperature. Its pressure sensor detects water pressure to measure current depth; its magnetic sensor uses automatic leveling correction for bearing measurement. The temperature sensor measures water and air from 10°C to 60°C, according to Casio’s product specification. The tide graph is not a fourth sensor reading: it is a time-display function, alongside moon data.

- Press C to enter Tide/Moon Mode. The Tide Screen initially shows the tide level at 6:00 a.m. for the current day.
- Press D to advance the displayed time by one hour. Hold D to scroll more quickly.
Choose a different date and hour
- In Tide/Moon Mode, display the Moon Screen.
- Press D to select the date you want.
- Press A to switch to the Tide Screen, then press D to choose the hour.
The selected date and time are temporary. Returning to Timekeeping Mode or moving through the screens in the sequence described in the manual clears the selection, so select the date again when you need to inspect a particular date and hour.
Calibrate the local high-tide time
Casio’s module 3445 guide says calibration can improve tide indications. High-tide times vary by location and season, so use reliable local tide information for the port or area relevant to your watch. If there are two high tides on the date, enter the first; the watch calculates the second. The manual uses an average interval of 12 hours 25 minutes between successive high tides as the basis for that calculation—not a guarantee that every local cycle follows that interval exactly.

- In Tide/Moon Mode, display the Moon Screen and press D to select the date for calibration. Leave the date unchanged to use today.
- Hold A for at least two seconds, until the high-tide hour digits flash.
- Use D (+) and L (−) to set the hour. Press C, then use D and L to set the minutes.
- Press A to finish. The Tide Screen returns.
Keep instructions for other modules separate
Do not apply module 3586 port-setting steps to the GWF-D1000/module 3445 unless the guide for your exact watch confirms they apply. The separate 3586 guide discusses [APP], [PRESET] and [USER] port modes, custom-point coordinates, time offsets and daylight-saving settings; those menus are not verified for module 3445. That 3586 guide also says its displayed information is for reference only and not for maritime navigation. Treat the tide graph as a reference aid, not as navigation data.
