Find the module number on the watch or its documentation, then follow the matching Casio guide. On module 3202, the hourly signal is toggled in Alarm Mode; button tones are changed in the Timekeeping Mode settings. Module 3136 uses a different button-tone shortcut.
What the two settings control
- Hourly Time Signal (SIG): An optional audible signal at the top of each hour. Casio’s module 3202 guide says it beeps twice every hour on the hour.
- Button operation tone: The sound made when you press watch buttons. In the guides below, KEY or KEY♪ means on; MUTE means off.
These controls are independent. On modules 3202 and 3136, muting button tones does not disable the alarm, hourly signal, or countdown timer alarm. Casio Operation Guide 3202 and Casio Operation Guide 3136 document that distinction.

Module 3202: turn the hourly signal on or off
- Enter Alarm Mode.
- Press D until the SIG (Hourly Time Signal) screen appears.
- Press A to toggle the signal. The on indicator appears when the signal is enabled.

Module 3202: turn button tones on or off
- In Timekeeping Mode, hold A until the city code starts flashing to open the setting screen.
- Press C until MUTE or KEY appears.
- Press D to select MUTE (off) or KEY (on).
- Press A to exit the setting screen.
When the button tone is muted, the mute indicator appears in all modes. The alarm, hourly signal, and countdown timer alarm continue to operate normally. Casio Operation Guide 3202

Look for the module number on the watch or its paperwork, then open the Casio guide with the same number. Button labels and procedures vary by module: the 3136 shortcut, for example, is not the 3202 setting-screen procedure, and it changes modes as well as the tone setting. The instructions here are module-specific, not a universal sequence for every Casio watch.
