On a compatible Casio G-Shock DW-5600, the stopwatch, countdown timer, and alarms are controlled with the watch’s buttons. First check the module number engraved on the case back: DW-5600 variants can use different modules, so follow the matching Casio Operation Guide rather than assuming every button sequence is identical. Casio’s manual lookup accepts model or module searches and notes that some products may require a module-number search.

The instructions below follow Casio’s Operation Guide 3229/3421/3489. Casio also publishes a guide for module 3525; use the guide for the number on your watch if its labels or behavior differ.

How to move between modes

In the 3229/3421/3489 guide, press C to change modes. The sequence includes Alarm, Countdown Timer, and Stopwatch modes. Check the mode diagram and button labels in your module’s guide; pressing C after an operation returns to Timekeeping Mode.

Which Casio guide should you use?

Casio’s feature page for the DW-5600SK-1 confirms that this variant has stopwatch elapsed, split, and place measurement; a 24-hour auto-repeat timer; a multi-function alarm; and an hourly signal. That confirms the feature family for that specific variant, not that every DW-5600 shares the same module or controls. Match the engraved module number to the appropriate guide before following button sequences.
