First identify your Frogman’s model or module: the steps below apply specifically to digital module 3521. On that watch, press D in Dive Mode to start timing, hold D for at least one second to stop the dive timer and begin the surface interval, then press A to reset and save the log. Its tide search is in Tide Graph/Moon Graph Mode. Other Frogman generations—including the analog MR-G MRG-BF1000—use different controls and features.
Check your Frogman model before using these steps
Frogman is a watch family, not one shared interface. Find the module number in the watch’s documentation or identify the exact model before following button instructions. Casio’s Module No. 3521 Operation Guide covers the digital watch described here; the MRG-BF1000 has app-linked functions and a different log capacity.

Record a dive on module 3521
- Enter Dive Mode.
- Press D to start dive-time measurement. The timer advances in one-second increments.
- To end the dive measurement and begin the surface interval, hold D for at least one second.
- Press A to reset the measurement. Casio says this records the log data.
If you leave Dive Mode for Timekeeping while measurement is running, the watch continues measuring internally. The 3521’s stated maximum measured dive time is 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds; its surface-interval capacity is 47 hours, 59 minutes. These are watch limits, not dive-planning guidance.

Enter Log Data Recall Mode. The latest record appears first; press D to move backward through older records. The interval time is shown only for the latest record.

The 3521 stores up to 10 records. When the memory is full, a new record replaces the oldest. Each record contains the dive start date and time, dive time, and interval time. These capacities and fields are from Casio’s 2022 module 3521 specifications.
Read the tide graph on module 3521
The current-time tide graph is available in Timekeeping Mode, Tide Graph/Moon Graph Mode, and Dive Mode. The tide-cycle indicator distinguishes spring tide, with a larger high-to-low range; half tide, with a moderate range; and neap tide, with a smaller range. The watch also displays a moon-phase graph.

Search tide times and moon age
- Enter Tide Graph/Moon Graph Mode and press A to switch to Tide Search. The initial search time is 6:00 a.m.
- Press D to move the tide time forward by one hour. Hold D to scroll quickly.
- To browse moon-age information by date, switch to Moon Search and press D to advance by day.
- Switch back to Tide Search to inspect tide times.
The mode returns to Timekeeping after two or three minutes without activity. Tide Search shows the watch’s calculated display; do not treat it as authoritative local marine safety information. Check appropriate local tide and navigation sources for decisions on the water.
Adjust the displayed high-tide time
Casio says the 3521 lets you adjust its displayed high-tide time to match local information published online or in a newspaper. Use a reliable local tide listing for the location you want to represent, then:

- Enter Tide Graph/Moon Graph Mode.
- Hold A until the high-tide hour flashes.
- Press C to choose a setting, then B or D to change its value.
- Press A to finish.
For a location with two high tides per day, set the first high tide; the watch calculates the second.

Do not apply the 3521 button sequence to the analog MR-G MRG-BF1000. Casio describes the MRG-BF1000B-1A as sending dive logs to the CASIO WATCHES app over Bluetooth; tide information is set by choosing a port in the app and sending it to the watch. Its current US product listing states up to 30 log records and approximately 3,300 tide-graph setting points. Casio’s 2023 FROGMAN announcement also describes 30 records and app support for tide-location setup. Check the manual and app instructions for your exact reference and region before operating other MR-G versions.
