The HTD Aquatìc Palletoni is now called the Bicchierini: HTD reworked the range in 2025, while SpaceBoy kept its name. The current Bicchierini and SpaceBoy share the same reported case dimensions, movement and water-resistance rating; their main difference is the dial. Bicchierini takes the more familiar dots-and-dashes approach, while SpaceBoy is the bolder, more heavily lumed design.
First, what happened to the Palletoni name?
Palletoni and SpaceBoy were introduced as vintage skin-diver-inspired watches. In its 2025 redesign, HTD updated the cases and dials and renamed the Palletoni variant Bicchierini. SpaceBoy remained SpaceBoy. So a current comparison is Bicchierini versus SpaceBoy; Palletoni refers to the earlier version of the first design. Fratello’s 2025 hands-on report covers the redesign.
How do Bicchierini and SpaceBoy differ?

The colors and dial descriptions are from Fratello’s August 31, 2026 report, which said seven variants were available on HTD’s website at that time. A reviewer preferred the blue Bicchierini among the examples received, but that is a personal preference, not an objective ranking. Read the 2026 report.

These are reported product specifications, not results from independent water-resistance or timing tests. The 2026 article gives inconsistent jewel counts in its text and specification table, so no count is included here.
What changed from the original Palletoni and SpaceBoy?
The 2022 models were reported with Miyota 9039 movements, 200 m water resistance and 20 mm lugs. The 2025 redesign replaced the earlier movement with the Miyota 90S5 and revised the case, whose dimensions are listed above. Do not assume every earlier measurement or fit detail applies to a current reference. The 20 mm lug width is documented for the 2022 generation, not confirmed for every updated model. How do they wear, and what is the bezel like?
A reviewer handling the redesigned watches in 2025 found them wearable on an 18.5 cm wrist. That is one person’s fit impression, not a sizing guarantee. The same reviewer said the slim, faceted bezel was difficult to grip despite having good action. By contrast, the 2022 review praised the earlier bezel’s action and grip. Those observations concern different bezel generations, so they should not be treated as contradictory tests of an unchanged component.

Fratello reported seven new variants available on HTD’s official website for €803 on August 31, 2026. Separately, H.S. Johnson listed the SpaceBoy reference A25F09S for £695 including tax and showed preorder purchase options. Which one should you choose?
- Choose Bicchierini if you want the more conventional dial layout and prefer the former Palletoni design in its current name and revised form.
- Choose SpaceBoy if its unusual numeral treatment, dense lume and extended minute track are the appeal.
- Compare colorways in person or in clear product images if color is decisive; the 2026 report names shared blue, green and brown options, plus an orange SpaceBoy with a black bezel.
If you want to swap the bracelet for a NATO or Tropic-style rubber strap, verify the lug width and spring-bar fit for the exact current reference first. The 20 mm measurement and strap suggestions in the 2022 coverage apply to that earlier generation, not automatically to every redesigned watch.
