Announced on 23 September 2024, it is Hublot’s fourth SORAI collaboration and the first in the Spirit of Big Bang line. Hublot says part of the proceeds will go to SORAI, but does not state a percentage or name a project allocation for this edition.
What makes the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon SORAI distinctive?
Its combination of a compact tonneau-shaped case, open-worked tourbillon movement and conservation partnership sets it apart within the collaboration. Hublot describes the 42 mm case as micro-blasted and polished warm-grey ceramic, a tone developed to evoke rhino skin. The colour first appeared in the Big Bang Unico SORAI 2023.
The display is asymmetrical and visible between two sapphire crystals. The time is shown at 3 o’clock, while the power-reserve indicator sits between 8 and 9 o’clock. The included straps are grey fabric and black rubber with a grey-and-beige camouflage pattern. Michaud lists the reference as 645.FX.8020.NR.SOA24 and specifies an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, sapphire crystal dial and 30 m / 3 ATM water resistance. Movement and power reserve
Hublot identifies the movement as its manufacture calibre HUB6020, a hand-wound skeleton tourbillon, and gives the power reserve as five days. Michaud lists the same reference and movement family with a reserve of 115 hours. Five days equals 120 hours, so the published figures differ by five hours; the available sources do not explain why. Price and availability
As listed by Swiss retailer Michaud on 8 October 2026, the reference 645.FX.8020.NR.SOA24 is priced at CHF 100,000 and marked “Availability on request.” That is a retailer snapshot, not a confirmed global price or proof that a piece is in stock. What the SORAI partnership does—and does not—promise
Hublot says part of the proceeds from sales of this edition will be donated to SORAI, founded by Kevin Pietersen in 2018. Its announcement does not disclose a percentage, total contribution or named project allocation for this specific watch. Buyers therefore cannot infer how much of a purchase price will be donated or which project will receive the funds. [Hublot’s announcement]
SORAI’s account of the earlier collaboration is more specific: a portion of proceeds from the three preceding Big Bang Unico SORAI watches was donated exclusively to Care for Wild, supporting orphaned rhino rescue and rehabilitation and conservation projects in Kruger National Park. Hublot’s 2024 announcement attributes to WWF estimates that about 500,000 rhinos roamed Africa and Asia at the start of the 20th century, compared with about 27,000 at the time of the announcement. Hublot also reported around 200 Indian rhinos at the turn of the 20th century and around 4,000 in 2024. These are figures reported in the 2024 announcement, not current population counts. Michaud’s 30 m / 3 ATM rating is a low water-resistance specification, not a basis for treating this watch as suitable for swimming or diving. The ceramic construction and sporty styling do not change that listed rating. [Michaud listing]
