IFL Watches’ Seiko 5 GMT Voyager is a limited-edition custom watch built on the Seiko 5 Sports GMT reference SSK001K1. IFL describes its hand-painted dial as an Earth-and-stars scene finished with UV-resistant enamel, and says the edition is limited to 150 pieces worldwide. It is not a Seiko factory edition or an authorized collaboration: IFL says it modifies the watch after its original retail purchase. IFL’s listing showed the Voyager as sold out when checked and offered a waitlist notification.
What the Seiko 5 GMT Voyager is
The Voyager starts with Seiko’s SSK001K1 and receives a custom dial from IFL Watches. IFL identifies the base reference on its product listing and discloses: “This watch has been customized after original retail purchase.” The company also says the watch has been opened and modified, and that its customization is not performed, authorized, or endorsed by the original manufacturer.
That distinction matters: the Voyager is an IFL customization of a Seiko watch, not a Seiko-designed or Seiko-approved edition. The available listing does not establish that Seiko warrants IFL’s modifications; buyers should distinguish the base watch from the custom work and consult IFL directly about responsibility for the customized watch.
Dial design and edition size
IFL says each dial is hand-painted in-house with UV-resistant enamel and that no two are alike. The image depicts Earth and stars; Fratello’s September 4, 2023 launch coverage describes it as a tribute to world travelers. These are descriptions of the design and materials, not independent durability testing.

IFL states that the worldwide edition is limited to 150 pieces. That is the maker’s stated edition size; the available sources do not provide an independent production audit.

Price and availability
IFL’s European product listing displayed a price of €1,290 and marked the watch sold out when checked. Fratello reported the same €1,290 price in its 2023 launch coverage. The listing’s waitlist notification is a way to request an update, not confirmation that the Voyager will be restocked.

For context only, Seiko’s June 8, 2022 Japanese launch announcement gave regular Seiko 5 Sports GMT models a recommended retail price of ¥52,800 including tax, with Japanese release from July 8, 2022. That is a historical Japanese price for regular factory models—not a current global price, nor the price of the Voyager.
How it differs from the standard Seiko 5 GMT
The standard SSK001/SSK001K1 is the relevant alternative if your priority is the Seiko 5 GMT platform rather than IFL’s painted dial. The Voyager adds the custom artwork and the maker’s 150-piece edition claim; the standard watch is a separate factory product and does not have the Voyager’s dial. The available sources establish the Voyager’s listed and launch prices, but not current transaction prices for either watch, so they do not support a current value comparison.
Seiko announced the regular Japanese Seiko 5 Sports GMT models in 2022 as part of its Sports Style line, with a newly developed mechanical GMT movement. The Voyager came later as an IFL modification of the SSK001 platform; it was not part of that factory announcement.
