What is the IFLW Tissot PRX Arabian Night Concept?
It is IFL Watches’ artistic customization of a black-dial quartz Tissot PRX. The dial turns the familiar watch into a night landscape: a star-filled sky occupies the upper half, a white moon sits between 9 and 10 o’clock, and moonlit dunes and glowing buildings fill the lower portion. Fratello says the imagery recalls One Thousand and One Nights, also known as Arabian Nights.
Fratello’s November 4, 2024 feature was labeled a partnership post. Its account is the source for the design, reported specifications, production count and launch price discussed here; it is not a current manufacturer specification sheet. IFL Watches’ current site says it is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the brands it mentions, so the watch should not be described as an official Tissot collaboration. How was the Arabian Night dial made?
According to Fratello, IFLW artists applied UV-resistant enamel paints by hand, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. Jorg Weppelink’s report says the process could take up to 10 hours per dial. The hand-painted process means the 150 reported pieces have small differences from one another; they are not identical printed dials.
