Verdict: The IMILAB Watch W12 is worth considering only when it is substantially cheaper than newer budget smartwatches. Its strengths are a large round design, long claimed battery life, basic notifications, wellness tracking, and casual workout support. Its decisive weaknesses are the lack of built-in GPS, basic TFT screen, limited smart features, uncertain long-term app support, and non-medical health sensors.
For steps, alarms, phone notifications, occasional exercise, and infrequent swimming, the W12 can still do the job. Runners, cyclists, swimmers seeking regular training data, and anyone wanting calls, replies, payments, apps, or a voice assistant should spend more on a newer model.

What is the IMILAB Watch W12?
The IMILAB W12 is a budget, phone-connected smartwatch with a conventional round case. It is better understood as a fitness tracker with a watch-style interface than as a full smartwatch comparable to Wear OS or watchOS.

It does not have an app store, cellular connectivity, built-in GPS, or evidence of a comparable third-party smartwatch platform.

The W12 was positioned as an inexpensive, long-battery-life watch. In 2026, however, buyers should compare its local clearance price with newer budget watches offering AMOLED displays, onboard GPS, and better-supported companion apps. Availability and warranty coverage are region-specific; IMILAB’s regional pages should not be treated as proof that the W12 is currently sold everywhere.
IMILAB describes itself as a supplier within the Xiaomi ecosystem, but the W12 should not automatically be called a Xiaomi-branded Mi Watch unless the seller or documentation explicitly identifies it that way.

Published dimensions describe a case of roughly 46 mm across and about 11 mm thick. One retailer lists “11 × 46 × 260 mm”; the final measurement appears to include the strap or be a formatting error, so it should not be treated as the watch’s case length. See the official product PDF, user manual, and retailer specification listing for the published variations.

Design, size, and comfort
The round metal-look zinc-alloy case gives the W12 a more traditional watch appearance than a rectangular fitness band. It is a relatively large watch in the 46–47 mm class, which suits larger wrists and buyers who prefer a spacious display.
That size can be a disadvantage on smaller wrists. An earlier independent review criticized the absence of a smaller 42–44 mm version; this is reviewer feedback rather than a universal defect, but small-wrist buyers should check the case diameter and lug-to-lug fit carefully before ordering.
The silicone strap is appropriate for exercise and should be comfortable for all-day wear for most users, although its feel will depend on skin sensitivity and how tightly it is worn. The case looks more premium than its price category, but the metal-look construction should not be confused with the finishing or durability of a higher-end smartwatch.
Navigation uses the touchscreen and side controls. The physical button is useful for waking the watch and reaching functions, but the W12 does not offer the richer control systems found on premium watches. There is no evidence of an always-on display, so the screen generally needs a wrist raise or manual wake gesture.
Display: adequate TFT, not AMOLED
The 1.32-inch, 360 × 360-pixel display is sharp enough at normal viewing distance for watch faces, notifications, and basic workout information. Touch navigation is suitable for the watch’s simple menus, and customizable or downloadable watch faces let owners change the appearance and prioritize different information.
Its main limitation is the TFT panel. Newer budget watches increasingly use AMOLED screens, which normally provide deeper blacks, stronger contrast, more vivid colors, and a more polished appearance. The W12’s display is functional rather than impressive, with more conspicuous bezels and less visual punch than a comparable AMOLED model.
Outdoor readability will depend on brightness, direct sunlight, and the selected watch face. The screen should be fine for ordinary indoor use and quick glances, but buyers who spend a lot of time outdoors should not assume it will match a newer high-brightness AMOLED watch.
Health and wellness tracking
The W12 advertises 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen measurement, step counting, distance and calorie estimates, sleep monitoring, sedentary reminders, activity goals, and physiological-cycle reminders. The manual describes automatic heart-rate checks at 10-minute intervals, however, so “24-hour monitoring” should not be interpreted as uninterrupted clinical measurement.

They are not a substitute for a medical device. IMILAB’s own product information says the watch is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or predict disease; see the manufacturer’s product page.
SpO₂ readings are especially sensitive to fit, movement, skin contact, circulation, temperature, and sensor limitations. Wear the watch firmly but comfortably, keep the wrist still, and clean the sensor and skin before measuring. Treat trends as approximate wellness information, not a diagnosis. A concerning reading or symptom should be checked with an appropriate medical device and a healthcare professional.
Workout tracking: casual rather than serious
The manual lists up to 13 sports modes: running, walking, cycling, climbing, spinning bike, yoga, skipping, gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, boating, sit-ups, and free training. Names and categories may vary with firmware, translation, app version, or region; one retailer presents a different-looking set of categories.
The W12 is suitable for recording simple sessions and displaying basic duration, heart rate, calories, and distance information. It is not designed for serious training analysis. There is no onboard GPS, so runners and cyclists need to carry a connected phone if the app supports phone-assisted location tracking. Basic pace, distance, and calorie figures should be treated as estimates.

If route accuracy and standalone outdoor tracking matter, built-in GPS is the most important feature the W12 lacks.
Smart features and notifications
The W12 can show incoming-call alerts, SMS and app notifications, weather information, alarms, stopwatch and countdown functions, sedentary reminders, activity reminders, and phone-finding prompts. It can also control music playing on the connected phone and support watch-face customization.
These are useful conveniences, but “call notification” does not mean that the watch can answer a call. The reviewed specifications provide no microphone, speaker, or in-watch calling hardware. The watch also does not let users reply to notifications, according to independent testing.

There is no cellular connection, NFC or payment support found in the reviewed specifications, onboard music storage, app store, voice assistant, or full smartwatch operating system. The W12 can mirror selected phone alerts; it cannot replace a richer Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, or Wear OS device.
GloryFit app, setup, and compatibility
Setup is handled through the GloryFit app. The manual instructs users to enable Bluetooth, install GloryFit, scan the watch’s QR code or search for the device, and complete pairing in the app rather than relying only on the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Charge and power on the watch.
- Enable Bluetooth on the phone.
- Install the current GloryFit app from the relevant official app store.
- Pair the watch inside GloryFit.
- Grant the permissions needed for Bluetooth, notifications, location, and background activity.
- Enable the specific apps whose notifications should appear on the watch.
Published compatibility requirements conflict. Regional official material lists Android 4.4 or newer, while the manual and other listings state Android 5.1 or newer; iOS 9.0 or newer is commonly listed. Buyers should confirm the current GloryFit requirements before purchasing rather than assuming an old Android or iOS specification guarantees compatibility with a modern phone.
The app is part of the product. Its availability, account requirements, export options, privacy terms, data-storage location, Health Connect, Google Fit, Apple Health, and Strava support should be checked in the buyer’s region. A previous review reported that Google Fit sharing was unavailable at the time of testing, but that may have changed with later app versions. There is also no assurance that data can be migrated if GloryFit is discontinued or loses support.
Changing phones, pairing multiple phones, and notification reliability can depend on the app and operating system. Background battery restrictions may interrupt synchronization or alerts, particularly on Android devices.
Battery life and charging
The 330 mAh battery is one of the W12’s strongest features. Official materials variously claim approximately 14 or 15 days of normal use and up to 30 days in standby. The 30-day figure is not a realistic promise for ordinary active use.
An independent review reported nearly 25 days per charge in its particular usage pattern, including approximately 25% battery remaining after 20 days. That result is not directly comparable with the manufacturer’s estimate because screen use, notification volume, monitoring settings, workouts, firmware, and testing conditions differ.
Actual endurance can be reduced by frequent workouts, continuous or frequent heart-rate and SpO₂ checks, bright display settings, frequent wake gestures, heavy notifications, unstable Bluetooth, temperature, and battery age. The sensible expectation is multi-week battery life for light use, with official daily-use claims around two weeks—not a month of normal use.
Charging uses a proprietary magnetic USB cable. Keep the cable safe, because losing it may be less convenient than replacing a standard USB-C accessory.
Water resistance: IP68 is not unrestricted waterproofing
The W12 is advertised as IP68-rated, and official material says it can handle ordinary hand washing and swimming. The same manufacturer page tells users to remove it before showers or saunas because steam may damage the seals. That warning should take priority over the casual use of the word “waterproof.”
IP ratings describe resistance under defined test conditions. They do not guarantee indefinite swimming, hot water, soap exposure, saltwater use, diving, or hot-tub use. Water resistance can decline after impacts, repairs, worn seals, or age. Do not recommend the W12 for diving or frequent hot-water exposure simply because it carries an IP68 rating.
Pairing and troubleshooting
If the watch will not pair
- Charge and restart the watch and phone.
- Confirm Bluetooth is enabled.
- Install or update GloryFit.
- Remove the W12 from GloryFit and the phone’s Bluetooth list.
- Pair again through GloryFit, not only through the system Bluetooth menu.
- Grant requested permissions and disable aggressive background restrictions for GloryFit.
- Reset the watch only as a last resort, since a reset may erase settings or local records.
The manual confirms the basic GloryFit pairing flow, but recovery steps can vary by phone and app version.
If notifications do not appear
- Check that GloryFit has notification access.
- Confirm the watch is connected in the app.
- Enable the relevant apps in GloryFit.
- Check the phone’s notification-preview and app-notification settings.
- Disable battery optimization or background restrictions for GloryFit where necessary.
- Check that do-not-disturb mode is disabled on both devices.
If health readings look wrong
Clean the sensor, wear the watch snugly, keep the wrist still, and avoid measuring immediately after exercise, cold exposure, or poor skin contact. Compare repeated trends instead of isolated numbers, and use a certified medical device for health decisions.

Who should buy the IMILAB W12?
Buy it if you want an inexpensive round watch for notifications, steps, alarms, sleep trends, occasional workouts, and long periods between charges. It is particularly reasonable when the seller offers a credible return policy and warranty and the price is clearly below newer AMOLED or GPS-equipped models.
Who should skip it?
Skip the W12 if you run, cycle, hike, or walk regularly without carrying a phone; built-in GPS is essential for those activities. It is also the wrong choice if you expect call answering, message replies, payments, apps, voice features, music storage, robust health-platform integration, or dependable long-term software support. Smaller-wrist users and people who frequently use hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, or saltwater should also look elsewhere.
Better alternatives by priority
A newer budget GPS smartwatch is the stronger choice for standalone route tracking, AMOLED quality, and newer software. A current fitness band is usually better for smaller wrists, lower weight, and discreet everyday wear, although it sacrifices the W12’s traditional round-watch styling. Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch models are more appropriate for calls, replies, payments, apps, voice assistants, and deeper phone integration, but they cost more and require more frequent charging. Compare current local prices and warranty terms rather than relying on historical launch pricing.
Final verdict
The IMILAB Watch W12 remains a competent basic Bluetooth smartwatch, not a complete modern smartwatch. Its large round design, broad wellness feature list, simple utilities, and potentially excellent battery life make it appealing at clearance pricing.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Buy the W12 only when it is meaningfully cheaper than a newer watch with an AMOLED display, built-in GPS, or stronger software support. If the price difference is small, the newer model is likely the better long-term purchase.
