Expect private bathrooms and unit-specific comforts in the treehouses, alongside shared spaces such as a hot tub, fire pit, lounges, and decks. The 5280 feature described Juniper as Colorado’s first treehouse hotel; the available reports do not establish a comprehensive statewide inventory to independently verify that distinction.
Where the hotel is and what the setting offers
Juniper Lodge & Treehouses is at 30500 U.S. 40 in Evergreen. The property says it is about 30 minutes from Denver and 15 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Its setting is forested and mountain-oriented, but the stay is still a lodge-style experience with indoor bathrooms and shared guest spaces—not a remote, facilities-free campsite.

Juniper’s official site describes the property as an adults-only boutique mountain lodge and treehouse hotel on 10 acres. The “first” label appears in 5280 and KYGO coverage; it is best understood as the publications’ description rather than a verified statewide ranking.
What staying in a treehouse is like
The elevated treehouses are suites with ensuite bathrooms and in-room coffee bars, according to Juniper. They are distinct units, so features vary: the property names a porch swing, sauna, or turntable as examples rather than amenities guaranteed in every treehouse.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
KYGO’s 2026 report also describes dining nooks, microwaves, mini fridges, pour-over coffee setups, cocktail fixings, and plush robes in the treehouses. Those details are reported descriptions, not a promise that every unit has every item. Check the current listing for the particular treehouse before booking.
The owners’ emphasis on comfort helps explain the difference from rustic camping. In 5280’s March 2026 feature, co-owner Ashley LaRocque said they wanted the treehouses to be “going up a notch” from the kind of glamping experience associated with composting toilets.

Shared amenities and the lodge option
Guests can use shared facilities listed by the property: a hot tub, fire pit, two communal lounges, and outdoor decks. KYGO also reported an honor bar. These spaces make the property more social than a standalone cabin, although the treehouse suite itself is a separate accommodation.
