The 2024 Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Sketch anniversary release is a trio, not one watch: two time-only models in rose gold and steel, plus a chronograph GMT. Each draws a pencil-style movement sketch on the dial for Bvlgari’s 140th anniversary. The title does not identify a specific reference, so the distinctions between the three matter.
What makes the 2024 Sketch editions different?
Rather than sketching conventional dial details such as markers and the wordmark, as earlier Sketch versions did, the 2024 design prints a pencil-style rendering of the movement’s rear view on the dial. It echoes the view through the exhibition caseback, turning the movement’s architecture into the dial’s visual focus. Fratello described the concept as an artistic alternative to skeletonization in its March 15, 2024 introduction.
Bvlgari executive director of product creation Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani said, “It makes sense for Bvlgari to hint at this bit of cultural heritage.”
Which watches are in the anniversary trio?

All three prices and edition quantities in the table are figures reported at launch by Fratello in 2024, not confirmation of current stock or pricing. The article identifies the chronograph GMT complication but does not provide its material or detailed specifications.
How should you choose between the three?
Choose a time-only version for the thin profile
The rose-gold and steel watches share the same reported 40 mm case, 6.4 mm thickness, and BVL 138 movement. That caliber measures 2.3 mm thick and provides a 60-hour power reserve. Their stated functional difference is material; the reported edition size and launch price also differ substantially.

Choose the chronograph GMT for its additional functions
The third edition combines a chronograph with GMT functionality and was reported as a 140-piece limited edition. Fratello’s introduction does not state its case size, thickness, water resistance, or movement caliber, so the time-only specifications should not be used to describe it.
