The 2024 blue Oris Aquis Chronograph, reference 01 771 7793 4155-07 8 23 01PEB, is smaller and thinner than the preceding standard model. It measures 43.5 mm across and 16.2 mm thick, adds a 62-hour power reserve through Oris calibre 771, and is rated to 300 m water resistance. CHF 4,400 was its reported launch price in 2024—not a verified current price in every market.
What changed on the updated Oris Aquis Chronograph?
The 2024 refresh changes the watch’s proportions and dial layout while retaining the Aquis Chronograph’s tool-watch character. Hodinkee and Fratello reported that the previous standard model measured 45.5 mm in diameter and 18.5 mm thick; the new blue reference is 43.5 mm by 16.2 mm. Its lug-to-lug length is 51 mm, down from 54 mm on the earlier model, according to Hodinkee’s August 29, 2024 introduction.
The chronograph registers now sit at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The case has a ceramic insert in its unidirectional rotating bezel, and the watch is shown on a tapered stainless-steel bracelet. Fratello also noted the three-register arrangement in its August 30, 2024 coverage.
How big is the 43.5 mm Aquis Chronograph?
For the blue 2024 reference, the key dimensions are 43.5 mm in case diameter, 16.2 mm in thickness and 51 mm lug-to-lug. Those figures make it smaller in all three reported measurements than the preceding standard model. Case diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears; lug-to-lug length indicates how far it spans the wrist, while thickness affects how much it rises above it.

Oris’s catalogue listing gives this reference a 23 mm interhorn width. That is useful when checking replacement straps, but a strap’s width alone does not confirm that its ends or attachment system fit; verify compatibility for the exact strap and reference.
What movement does it use, and what are the specifications?
The watch uses Oris calibre 771, based on the Sellita SW510, with an automatic winding system and a stated 62-hour power reserve. Oris lists central hours, minutes and chronograph quarter-seconds, plus subdials for continuous seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters. The catalogue also lists a date, date corrector and stop-second function.

How much did the Oris Aquis Chronograph cost?
Hodinkee and Fratello reported a CHF 4,400 launch price for the 43.5 mm blue watch in 2024. That dated figure does not establish its current price, stock or availability in a particular country. Check the exact reference and ask Oris or a local authorized retailer for current regional pricing and availability.

Do not confuse this watch with the separate 46 mm black Aquis Chronograph listed in Oris’s UK catalogue. That different reference, 01 774 7655 4154-07 4 26 34EB, is shown at GBP 2,550, with 50 bar water resistance and a 48-hour reserve; Oris’s UK listing says it is not available to buy online there. Those details do not apply to the 43.5 mm blue model.

The reduced dimensions are the most consequential change for someone comparing the new watch with the previous standard Aquis Chronograph. The 51 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 16.2 mm thickness offer concrete points to compare with a watch the buyer already owns, but they do not substitute for trying it on. The three-register layout, 62-hour reserve and 300 m rating are other central specifications to weigh against the buyer’s priorities.

For any alternative, compare exact references rather than relying on collection names: dimensions, movement and reserve, water-resistance rating, bracelet or strap, clasp adjustment, local price and availability can differ. The 46 mm black Oris is a separate configuration, not a like-for-like version of this blue 43.5 mm reference.
