Launched in May 2025, it pairs a compact cushion-shaped case and integrated grade 2 titanium bracelet with an automatic AL-525 movement, a date display and a published 200 m water-resistance rating.
What is the Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic Titanium?
Reference AL-525S3AE1B is a titanium execution of the Alpiner Extreme Automatic. Monochrome Watches introduced the model on 9 May 2025; it is not a new 2026 release. The material is the key distinction from visually similar 39 mm Alpiner Extreme models in stainless steel.
The case measures 39 mm across, 40.5 mm from end to end and 11.5 mm thick. Those dimensions describe the case, not a guarantee of how it will sit on every wrist; wrist shape and the integrated bracelet’s fit also matter.
Case, bracelet and water resistance
The three-part cushion-shaped case combines brushed and polished titanium surfaces. A raised, fixed round bezel is held by six exposed screws, while crown guards flank a screw-down crown clad in grey rubber. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, and a solid screw-down caseback closes the case.

#1 Best Overall
- The Alpiner Extreme Automatic is a 41 x 42.5mm rugged sport watch.
- At the heart of the design, a strong brushed-finish cushion case featuring a black dial with a date window at 3 o'clock and a see-through case-back.
- The integrated black rubber strap (with no joining link with the case), made of textured rubber offers as much comfort as strength and modernity.
- The rubber grip allows for ease of handling with bare hands or with gloves.
- WR to 200M.
The integrated bracelet is made from grade 2 titanium, with flat H-links, brushed faces and polished flanks. It fastens with a push-button folding clasp. No case or bracelet weight is stated in the cited product coverage, so a numerical weight comparison with the steel versions cannot be made from these specifications.
Alpina’s published water-resistance figure is 200 m. That is the stated rating; it should not be read as evidence of a particular dive certification or of independently tested performance in use.

Dial and display
The light-grey dial has a matte satin finish and an embossed triangle pattern. Silver-coloured applied indices and luminous hour and minute hands provide the main time display. A framed date window sits at 3 o’clock, and the central seconds hand has a red Alpina triangle counterweight.
Movement and specifications
The AL-525 is an automatic calibre based on the Sellita SW200-1. It has 26 jewels, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is specified with a 38-hour power reserve. The movement is concealed behind the solid caseback. Because the source identifies the Sellita base, the AL-525 should not be described as an in-house movement.

How it differs from the 39 mm steel versions
The Alpiner Extreme Automatic name also covers 39 mm stainless-steel models, so a similar silhouette or collection name alone does not identify the material. CHRIST Swiss, for example, lists a separate steel-bracelet 39 mm version with an AL-525 movement, 38-hour reserve and 200 m rating. Those are details of that listing; the titanium reference’s specifications above are drawn from the model-specific launch coverage.
For a comparison with another watch, useful points are case material and measured total weight, case dimensions and wrist fit, whether the bracelet is integrated, movement base and reserve, water-resistance rating, dial legibility and date placement, and local price and availability. Here, dimensions and movement data are published, but no verified weight figure or hands-on wear comparison is available.
