The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby is a five-piece, 43 mm stainless-steel limited edition that pairs a dial cut from natural ruby with the brand’s twin-balance Resonance Clutch movement. Its central contrast is between a naturally variable stone and a mechanism designed to bring two regulating systems into harmonic resonance.
What is new about the Mirrored Force Resonance Ruby?
Armin Strom announced the reference ST23-RF.10 on 2 March 2026. The defining change is the dial: it is cut from natural ruby, giving this version a different visual character from other Mirrored Force Resonance variants. The limited edition comprises five watches. In the brand’s launch wording, the model is “a new interpretation of the Mirrored Force Resonance, distinguished by a dial crafted from natural ruby – a gemstone prized for its vivid character and intrinsic vitality.” (Armin Strom press release, 2 March 2026.)
What makes the natural ruby dial distinctive?
Armin Strom says each dial differs in tone and inclusions because it is cut from natural stone. The company describes the dial as being created with a local stone artisan, but does not name the artisan. Those variations are part of the material rather than a uniform color treatment: no two dials are identical, according to the manufacturer. (Armin Strom, “What makes a natural ruby dial unique?”.)
The word “ruby” also refers to a separate material inside the watch. The movement uses synthetic, lab-grown ruby jewels to reduce friction at mechanical contact points; the natural ruby is the visible dial material, chosen for its appearance. How does the resonance mechanism work?
Hand-wound Calibre ARF21 contains two independent regulating systems, each with its own balance wheel. Armin Strom’s patented Resonance Clutch links the systems so the balance wheels synchronize in what the manufacturer describes as harmonic resonance. A pusher at 2 o’clock resets both seconds counters at the same time, making the paired mechanism’s operation visible on the dial. Armin Strom presents enhanced chronometric stability as the result; that is a manufacturer-stated benefit, not a published independent accuracy test for this specific edition. The power-reserve figures conflict. Armin Strom’s current product page lists 80 hours, while specialist launch articles from Fratello and Monochrome report 48 hours. The current official specification is the primary figure here, but the discrepancy is worth noting rather than silently treating the launch reports as equivalent.

Price and availability
When checked in 2026, Armin Strom’s product page displayed CHF 85,000 and “Out of stock”; it also directs US customers to contact sales. Bucherer’s US listing showed $112,000 and “Inquire about availability.” These are separate page observations in different currencies, not a confirmed offer or evidence that a piece is currently obtainable.
