The MB&F HM11 Art Deco keeps the watch’s four-room, rotating architectural case but replaces the original HM11 Architect’s organic, neo-futuristic look with geometric lines inspired by 1930s Art Deco. Introduced in 2025, it comes in two colorways, each limited to 10 pieces. The rooms still display time, power reserve and temperature, while the case rotation both changes which indication faces forward and winds the manual movement.
What changed for the HM11 Art Deco?
MB&F introduced the HM11 Architect in 2023 with inspiration from the organic, neo-futuristic architecture of the 1960s and 1970s. For the 2025 Art Deco edition, designer Maximilian Maertens reinterpreted that architectural idea through the geometry and rhythm MB&F associates with 1930s design. The company points to early-20th-century landmarks such as Parisian cinemas and Manhattan skyscrapers as part of the visual reference.
The change is primarily one of design language, not a departure from the HM11 concept. The watch remains a miniature built environment: four functional rooms surround a central atrium and flying tourbillon beneath a sapphire structure. MB&F describes the HM11 as making Le Corbusier’s maxim, “A house is a machine to live in,” literal; that quotation is presented here as MB&F attributes it.
How the two limited editions differ
MB&F specifies two colorways, with 10 pieces in each edition. Their principal differences are the dial plate, the color of the bridges and markers, and the strap.

How the four rooms and rotating case work
The HM11’s four rooms radiate symmetrically from a central atrium. They house the hours and minutes display, power-reserve indication, temperature display and time-setting module. The flying tourbillon sits at the center beneath the sapphire structure.
Turning the case
The case rotates on its base, with each room offset by 90 degrees. Turning it lets the wearer bring a chosen indication around to face forward. MB&F also says clockwise rotation winds the manual movement, making the case part of the watch’s winding ritual as well as its display.
What the indications show
- Time: Hours and minutes.
- Power reserve: The remaining running time of the manually wound movement.
- Temperature: A display scaled from -20 to 60°C (0 to 140°F).
- Time setting: A dedicated module occupies the fourth room.
