The current U.S. listing is reference DC3030C-S2: BALL specifies a 42 mm case, automatic RR1402 movement, 100 m water resistance, and a chronograph that accumulates up to 12 hours. Those figures describe that listing, not every regional variant.
Which Roadmaster Rescue Chronograph is this?
Reference matters. BALL’s U.S. product page identifies the watch as DC3030C-S2, a 42 mm model listed as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces. BALL Japan lists a regional reference, DC3030C-S2J-GR, with different dimensional and display details. Do not treat measurements or features from one page as universal specifications for the other.
What does the RR1402 movement do?
BALL lists an automatic BALL RR1402 movement for the U.S. DC3030C-S2. Its functions include hours, minutes, seconds, day and date, plus a chronograph with accumulation up to 12 hours. BALL’s series page describes a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. These are manufacturer specifications; the cited pages do not establish independent accuracy or durability test results.
How does the pulsometer work?
The dial’s pulsometer scale is graduated for 15 pulsations. BALL’s operating guidance is to start the chronograph when counting begins and stop it at the 15th heartbeat; the chronograph hand then points to a heart-rate-per-minute reading on the scale. This explains the watch’s intended function, not a medical measurement recommendation.

BALL describes the design as a rescue-timing tool and says the chronograph hand works with the pulsometer scale to measure heart rate quickly. That is the manufacturer’s stated purpose, not evidence here of use or validation by rescue teams.
How large is it, and what differs by market?
The current U.S. listing gives the DC3030C-S2 a 42 mm case diameter and 20 mm lug width. The Japanese DC3030C-S2J-GR listing specifies a 43.5 mm bezel diameter and weekday display. Case diameter and bezel diameter are different measurements, and the Japanese listing’s figures should not be substituted for the U.S. model’s case measurement. The cited listings do not establish thickness or lug-to-lug length.

For DC3030C-S2, BALL specifies 100 m water resistance, 5,000 G shock resistance and 4,800 A/m anti-magnetism. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent test results; the cited material does not establish real-world performance or suitability for any particular activity.
