The limited editions differ in size, water resistance, display and strap as well as dial construction; Czapek’s watch finder currently lists both as sold out.
Two watches, two ways to use mother-of-pearl
The Antarctique S Ice Cloud treats nacre as the dial’s visible canvas, with irregular blue cloud shapes that preserve the material’s luminous character. The Promenade Midnight Pearl uses nacre as one part of a layered dial: dark, glittering aventurine glass sits above Tahitian mother-of-pearl, allowing violet and green reflections to emerge through the composition.
Monochrome Watches reported that Czapek worked with Swiss dial specialist GT Cadrans on both releases. Its account and the additional process details reported by Worn & Wound describe different technical approaches, rather than two versions of the same decorative treatment.
How the Ice Cloud dial is made
On the Antarctique S Ice Cloud, a thin disc of polished white mother-of-pearl is finished with blue-tinted varnish applied to its underside using a horsehair brush. The uneven brushwork creates the scattered-cloud effect, while the nacre remains the dial’s face. Worn & Wound reports that the nacre is approximately 0.2 mm thick and that the varnish is oven-fired to set the pattern.

Because the color is applied behind the nacre rather than painted across its front, the natural material remains part of the visual effect: the blue forms appear alongside the changing sheen of the pearl. The result is an irregular, clouded field rather than a uniform blue surface.
How the Midnight Pearl combines aventurine and nacre
The Promenade Midnight Pearl places a layer of aventurine glass over a disc of Tahitian mother-of-pearl. Monochrome describes the darker aventurine as a sparkling surface through which the nacre’s violet and green reflections can show. Worn & Wound reports that each layer is 0.2 mm thick and that the two are fitted by hand.

The dial’s offset small-seconds display at 4:30 adds a practical complication to that construction. Monochrome notes that the aventurine must be cut and perforated for the display without damaging the nacre beneath it. In this design, the mother-of-pearl is not simply an exposed dial surface; it is a delicate layer integrated into a more complex sandwich.

Which design fits which kind of wear?
Antarctique S Ice Cloud: sportier proportions and a bracelet
The Ice Cloud is the more sport-oriented option. It is slightly larger in diameter, has greater reported water resistance, and is supplied with an integrated steel bracelet as well as a rubber strap. Its central seconds display and SXH5 movement distinguish it mechanically from the Promenade.
Promenade Midnight Pearl: a dress-oriented layered dial
The Midnight Pearl is marginally smaller and pairs its dial with a dark blue Nubuck strap, with Milanese steel mesh reported as an option. Its offset seconds display and SXH5.1 movement are specific to this model. The 50 m water-resistance rating is lower than the Ice Cloud’s reported 120 m.

Reported prices and availability
Price reporting for the Ice Cloud is inconsistent, so none of the reported figures should be treated as a confirmed current price. Monochrome’s February 25, 2026 article gives CHF 24,000 and EUR 25,900 excluding tax in its text, but lists CHF 24,900 in its technical section. WatchPoint Australia also reports CHF 24,000, while Worn & Wound reports a US price of $33,600. Those figures reflect publication reporting, not a verified current offer.
For the Promenade Midnight Pearl, Monochrome reports CHF 18,800 or EUR 20,300 excluding tax; WatchPoint reports CHF 18,800 without the same tax detail, and Worn & Wound reports $26,300 in the US. These are reported prices, not confirmation of present availability or a current quote.
