Girard-Perregaux’s 2025 Bridges Cosmos Unique Piece reworks the look of the astronomical watch first introduced in 2019, while retaining the predecessor’s construction, complications and GP09320 movement, according to Monochrome Watches. Its central display pairs a zodiac globe that tracks a sidereal day with a terrestrial globe that turns once every 24 hours; a one-minute tourbillon sits between them.
What is new about the 2025 Bridges Cosmos?
The Bridges Cosmos Unique Piece, reference 99292-21-3587-5CC, is reported as a one-of-a-kind reinterpretation of the original 2019 Cosmos. The change is primarily aesthetic: Monochrome Watches describes new materials and surface treatments, while saying the construction, complications and in-house GP09320 calibre carry over. The report also notes that later editions had introduced luminescent pictograms on the rear winding and setting bows.

How do the two globes work?
The globes make the watch’s astronomical theme functional rather than purely decorative. One indicates the zodiac constellations against a sidereal-day rotation; the other provides a 24-hour day-and-night indication.

- Girard Perregaux Caliber GP08400, beats at 21,600 (3 Hz) vph, composed out of 208 parts, contains 29 Jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 48 hours
- The balance wheel is secured in place by a black PVD coated bridge at 6 o'clock. The generous proportions of the balance wheel (10.15mm in diameter) makes it less subject to disturbances and thus more accurate.
- The micro-rotor is located to the top left of the movement, while the main-spring barrel is located to the right side for a symmetrical design.
| Display | Position | Reported operation |
|---|---|---|
| Celestial zodiac globe | 9 o’clock | Completes one rotation in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds, the duration of a sidereal day. |
| Terrestrial globe | 3 o’clock | Rotates once every 24 hours. The daytime side is visible from the dial; nighttime is visible from the caseback. |
Both globes are titanium, laser-oxidized to create texture and treated to emit blue light in the dark. A separate time display at 12 o’clock shows the hours and minutes, so the rotating spheres are not the watch’s conventional time-reading hands.
What are the dial and case made of?
The two-part dial combines translucent blue aventurine with a Tahitian mother-of-pearl base. The off-centre black time dial at 12 o’clock has a sandblasted centre, a sunray-brushed outer ring and applied white-gold markers. Its dauphine-style hands use blue Super-LumiNova.
At 6 o’clock, a one-minute tourbillon is held by a sandblasted titanium Neo Bridge. The case is satin-finished and polished titanium, topped by a domed, antireflective-coated sapphire box crystal; the caseback is sapphire as well. Monochrome reports 30 m water resistance.
The case has no visible crown. Four rotating bows on the back serve for winding, setting the time and synchronizing the globes, with luminescent pictograms identifying their functions. The report lists an anthracite nubuck-finished calfskin strap with hand-stitching, a titanium triple-folding clasp and a quick-release system.
GP09320 movement and specifications
The hand-wound GP09320 is reported to contain 368 components and 52 jewels. Its stated frequency is 21,600 vibrations per hour, with a 57-hour power reserve. The movement’s reported functions are hours, minutes, day/night indication and zodiac constellation indication.
