Grand Seiko’s 2021 U.S.-exclusive trio comprised three time-only, hand-wound watches: the light-green SBGW273, teal SBGW275 and medium-green SBGW277. Each was limited to 140 pieces and uses the same 9S64 movement. The U.S. boutique now marks all three models “No Longer Available,” so their original price is historical, not a current offer.
What distinguishes the three references?
The trio shares its movement, case dimensions and basic functions. The choice is principally about dial shade, with a small difference in the seconds hand and, at launch, sales channel.

The channel descriptions reflect the 2021 launch report and the SBGW275 boutique-page designation, not current inventory or seller availability. Time+Tide’s 28 August 2021 launch coverage reported that the watches were expected in November of that year.
How the Genbi Valley inspiration appears on the dials
Grand Seiko links the dial designs to the greenery of Genbi Valley in Iwate Prefecture. Its product copy attributes the textured treatment to Kirazuri, a Japanese painting technique it describes as “sparkling painting,” and says the result evokes dense flora. That is the brand’s stated design inspiration, rather than an independent material analysis of the dial surface.

The colors provide the clearest distinction in the collection: SBGW273 is light green, SBGW275 is teal, and SBGW277 is medium green. On the SBGW273, Grand Seiko specifically notes that the blue-tempered seconds hand contrasts with the green dial. The other two share the time-only layout and should not be mistaken for different movement or complication versions.
Shared movement and case specifications
According to Grand Seiko’s U.S. boutique product pages, all three use the manual-winding mechanical Caliber 9S64. These are published specifications, not independent measurements or test results.

Time+Tide reported a 2021 launch price of US$4,900 per watch. Grand Seiko’s U.S. boutique still displays that figure on the product pages, but as of 8 October 2026 each page also says “No Longer Available.” The displayed amount should therefore be read as the historical listed price, not a current offer or an indication of secondary-market value.
