The MB&F LM Sequential Flyback Platinum is a 33-piece platinum Legacy Machine with two independently operated flyback chronographs and a Twinverter that changes both chronographs’ start/stop states at once. It measures 44 mm across and 18.2 mm high; MB&F lists a 72-hour power reserve and 30 m water resistance.
What is the MB&F LM Sequential Flyback Platinum?
Introduced in 2024, this is a platinum edition of MB&F’s Legacy Machine Sequential Flyback. Its sky-blue dial plate sits beneath the collection’s suspended balance-wheel architecture, while the dial layout and multiple pushers make the watch’s dual-timing purpose explicit. MB&F limited the edition to 33 pieces. MB&F’s official specifications identify the model and its production limit; the brand’s milestone history places its launch in 2024.
The movement, developed for MB&F by Stephen McDonnell, is a manually wound, fully integrated dual chronograph flyback calibre. It contains 619 components and 63 jewels, runs at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), and has a stated power reserve of 72 hours. A double mainspring powers it; the flying balance wheel has regulating screws and a Breguet overcoil. The power-reserve indication is on the back.
How do the two chronographs and Twinverter work?
Each chronograph can be started, stopped, and reset independently. Its flyback function lets the user reset a running chronograph and immediately begin a new timing interval with a single control, rather than stopping first. The Twinverter is a separate binary switch: pressing it inverts the current start/stop status of both chronographs. It does not replace their individual reset/flyback controls.

In practice, the two chronographs can time separate events, or the Twinverter can switch both together between running and stopped. The separate flyback pushers remain the controls for resetting and restarting their respective timers.

What are the case, water-resistance, and strap specifications?
- Case: platinum, 44 mm in diameter and 18.2 mm high.
- Water resistance: 30 m / 3 ATM / 90 ft, according to MB&F. This rating is modest; the chronograph functions do not make it a sports or swimming watch.
- Crystal: sapphire on the front and display back, with anti-reflective coating on both faces.
- Other details: screw-down crown, alligator strap, and white-gold folding buckle.
These specifications are for the platinum edition. They should not be conflated with the Sequential EVO: MB&F describes that separate model as zirconium with 80 m water resistance, and its EVO line also includes a 2026 titanium Flyback edition. MB&F’s EVO page covers that distinct model.
How much does the LM Sequential Flyback Platinum cost?
Fratello Watches reported a launch retail price of CHF 188,000 excluding sales taxes in 2024. That is launch-era pricing, not a verified current quote; a present asking price may depend on availability and seller. Fratello’s coverage reports the launch figure.

How many were made, and is one available now?
MB&F states that the platinum edition is limited to 33 pieces. The production limit establishes rarity, but it does not establish how many remain available. Current stock and asking prices have not been verified, so prospective buyers should confirm both directly with MB&F or an authorized retailer.
MB&F’s history says: “Two years of secret-keeping and testing were required so that the system would be robust enough in the long term to finally introduce the LM Sequential Flyback Platinum.” The statement appears in the brand’s official milestone history and is not attributed there to a named individual.
