What is the Hublot Arsham Droplet?
Hublot introduced the Arsham Droplet in June 2024 as a reimagining of the pocket watch, created with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. Rather than treating the case as a conventional round watch housing, the design uses a large, droplet-shaped form intended to be carried, worn or displayed. The official launch materials present it as a timepiece and an objet d’art, with three configurations built into the presentation.
Hublot’s launch announcement and product page describe the object as a pocket watch, pendant and table clock. Arsham characterized the collaboration as combining Hublot’s technical expertise with his artistic vision; that is the collaborators’ promotional framing, rather than an independent assessment.
How does the Arsham Droplet work as a pocket watch or pendant?
Pocket watch
The Droplet can be carried on one of its two included titanium chains. The chains attach using Hublot’s patented double “one-click” system, which the manufacturer presents as a way to switch between configurations. The scale of the object is substantial for a pocket watch: Hublot lists it at 73.2 mm long, 52.6 mm wide and 22.5 mm thick.

Pendant
The same chains allow the watch to be worn as a pendant. This is a design option, not a claim that its size or weight will suit every wearer; Hublot’s published material cited here does not state a weight. The chain attachment system is described in the official product information, while the instruction manual covers its three intended forms of use.
Table clock
For display, the presentation includes a stand made from titanium and mineral glass. Set on that stand, the Droplet functions as a table clock; the stand and chains make the three-use concept part of the supplied presentation rather than a purely decorative description.

What makes the Droplet distinctive—and what remains unproven?
Its defining proposition is the combination of three display and wearing modes in an unusually large, sculptural mechanical object. The titanium case, green rubber bumpers, extended stated power reserve and included chains and stand give the concept concrete form. But the published launch specifications do not provide independent performance testing, comparative results against other watches, or evidence about current market value. Those questions require evidence beyond the manufacturer’s product description.
