How does the HYT Hastroid Silver Red tell time?

The hour indication is retrograde: the colored liquid travels along the scale and returns to its starting point at the end of its cycle. HYT’s Hastroid instruction manual explains, “The time is displayed with two liquids.”
A central hand indicates minutes, while a small-seconds display and a power-reserve indicator complete the functions. The red liquid and silver side grids against a red background give the display its defining color treatment. The black-coated brass dial carries white luminescent numerals and logo.

What are the case dimensions and materials?
The case combines titanium and black-coated titanium, with satin and sandblasted finishes. HYT gives a width of 48 mm and a length of 52.3 mm. Its published thickness is inconsistent: the technical dimensions block lists 17.20 mm, while the product-page introductory copy and 2023 press release say 13.3 mm. HYT does not explain whether the figures reflect different measurement conventions, so neither should be treated as a settled thickness without clarification.
Other listed details include a black-coated titanium crown, a domed box sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a black rubber strap decorated with embossed black microfibre and red stitching, and a black-coated titanium pin buckle.
Is the HYT Hastroid Silver Red water-resistant?
HYT’s published figures conflict. The model page lists 50 metres in its technical dimensions block, but another section of that page and the 2023 press release state 30 m. The sources do not reconcile the difference. Until HYT clarifies the rating, do not rely on either number to decide whether to swim, dive, or expose the watch to water.

How many Silver Red watches were made?
HYT describes the Hastroid Silver Red as a limited edition of 15 pieces. The figure establishes the announced edition size; it does not indicate how many remain available.
HYT’s collection page lists other Hastroid editions in different quantities: White Neon at 15 pieces, Blue Star at 20, and Cosmic Hunter, Green Laser, Green Nebula, and Supernova Blue at 27 each. Storage and routine care
HYT’s Hastroid instruction guide says that before storing the watch for an extended period, the colored liquid should be returned to its starting position by setting the time forward to 06:15, then backward precisely to 06:00. The manual notes that a small amount of colored liquid may remain visible in Zone I.
The same guide recommends inspection every five years, cleaning with warm soapy water followed by careful drying, rinsing with fresh water after contact with seawater, and avoiding prolonged exposure above 50°C (122°F). These are the manufacturer manual’s instructions; follow the guide for the watch and confirm care questions with HYT or an approved professional.
Repairs and warranty
HYT says only an HYT-approved professional can replace the fluid system. Its warranty page directs owners to approved dealers or HYT customer service for service and repairs and warns that work by an unapproved third party automatically voids warranty coverage. The page states that manufacturing defects are covered for five years from purchase when the watch is bought from an approved HYT dealer. Confirm current terms, required purchase documentation, and local applicability with HYT.
