The Jacob & Co. The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon adds a rapidly rotating tourbillon to the independently set dual-time watch the brand introduced in 2023. Its 43 mm rose-gold case frames a curved titanium world map, while a pair of displays and a three-position crown let the wearer set each time indication separately—even for offsets that are not whole hours.
What changed in the tourbillon evolution?
Jacob & Co. describes the Tourbillon as the first evolution of The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone. The two watches share a 43 mm rose-gold case, a world-map dial and independently settable time displays. The newer model adds a central 30-second tourbillon and an automatic movement made specifically for it, caliber JCAA45, with an off-centered micro-rotor in solid 950 platinum. These specifications and the model history come from Jacob & Co.

How do the two time zones work?
The sub-dials sit at 12 and 6 o’clock, with Roman numerals on one and Arabic numerals on the other. Jacob & Co. says a three-position crown sets the two indications independently. Neither display is designated as home or local time: the wearer chooses which time to assign to each. Because each can be set to the exact minute, the arrangement can represent time offsets that differ by half an hour or by 15 minutes, not only whole-hour offsets.
Jacob & Co.’s 2025 announcement illustrates the usefulness of this flexibility with UTC+5h30 for India, UTC−3h30 for Newfoundland, UTC+5h45 for Nepal and UTC+9h30 for Australian Central Standard Time. These are examples published by the manufacturer, not an independent time-zone reference.

What makes the 30-second tourbillon distinctive?
Jacob & Co. says the tourbillon at the center of the display completes one rotation every 30 seconds, twice the pace of a conventional one-minute tourbillon. It is presented beneath a transparent sapphire bridge, with a compass rose above it. The faster rotation is a mechanical and visual distinction; the manufacturer’s announcement does not establish a separate accuracy advantage.
How is the world-map dial made?
The dial is formed from curved titanium, following the strongly curved profile of the case. Jacob & Co. describes laser-etched relief for the land, blue PVD treatment and rose-gold finishing on the continents. The map is centered on the Atlantic, with the Americas to one side and Africa, Europe and Asia to the other.

The brand gives the case diameter as 43 mm and its thickness as 10.4 mm at the edge and 18.1 mm at the center. The difference reflects the curved construction: a single thickness figure would not describe the case profile accurately.
What inspired The World Is Yours?
Jacob & Co. traces the collection to the first watch Jacob Arabo received from his father, a dual-time-zone watch given to him when he was 13. In the brand’s account, his father told him: “My son, the world is yours. Go and explore it.” That origin story makes the two time displays and map more than a decorative travel motif: they recall a personal gift and an encouragement to explore.
