What changed with the True Square Skeleton?
Rado framed the 2025 release as a trio of timepieces, highlighting matte finishing, sandblasted surfaces and the exposed skeleton movement. The launch also introduced a matt plasma high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet to the collection; Rado described it as the first matt plasma finish on the True Square line at the time of the announcement. The Skeleton sits within the True Square family of square high-tech ceramic watches. Its openworked dial makes the movement part of the design rather than concealing it behind a conventional dial. Rado True Square collection.
R27197152 vs. R27197169
The key documented distinction is how each watch is worn. Both use a 38 mm matte-black ceramic case and the automatic R808 calibre, but one pairs the case with a ceramic bracelet while the other has a black rubber strap.

What both watches have in common
- Case size: 38 mm, according to Rado’s US product pages.
- Movement: automatic R808 calibre with 25 jewels and a stated 80-hour power reserve.
- Movement details: Rado says the movement is tested in five positions and uses an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring.
Which configuration should you choose?
Choose by the configuration you want rather than assuming a difference in the underlying movement. R27197152 is the option with an all-ceramic bracelet and titanium three-fold clasp; R27197169 substitutes a black rubber strap and a folding clasp with a ceramic cover. The official pages establish these original configurations, but do not establish that the straps or bracelets are interchangeable.
