The MIDO Multifort TV Big Date Orange & Black PVD is reference M049.526.33.081.00, a 2024 addition to the collection with a TV-shaped case, a big-date display at 12 o’clock and an orange-and-black finish. MIDO lists a 39.2 × 40 mm case, 10-bar water resistance and an automatic movement with up to 80 hours of power reserve.
What is the Orange & Black PVD Multifort TV Big Date?
This is the orange-and-black PVD interpretation of MIDO’s Multifort TV Big Date. MIDO identifies it by reference M049.526.33.081.00 and describes its case as rectangular. The Swatch Group’s official archive presents the black-PVD and orange version as an addition to the collection in 2024. Its announcement calls the design “even more intense in orange and black”; that is brand language, not an independent performance assessment. Swatch Group archive
The watch pairs a grey dial with a black PVD-coated case and a high-contrast orange-and-black treatment. Its defining display feature is the oversized date at 12 o’clock, set into the broad upper portion of the dial.
Case, materials and water resistance
MIDO’s Canada product listing gives the case dimensions as 39.2 mm by 40 mm and average thickness as 11.5 mm. The case is made from 316L stainless steel with PVD coating. A sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating on both sides covers the dial, and a see-through case back reveals the movement. MIDO lists the watch at 155 g and gives it a 22 mm lug width. Water resistance is rated to 10 bar, equivalent to 100 m or 330 ft, and the crown is screw-down. This is the manufacturer’s rating; it does not by itself establish suitability for every kind of water activity.
Big-date display and automatic movement
The watch has an automatic movement and a big-date function. MIDO says the date is shown using two separately rotating discs, rather than a single conventional date disc. The manufacturer rates the power reserve at up to 80 hours, so the stated maximum is the time the watch can run off the wrist when fully wound; it is not a guarantee of identical runtime in every use.

MIDO also describes the movement as equipped with a Nivachron™ balance spring, which it says offers resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. That description is the manufacturer’s claim; the product page does not provide independent test results. MIDO Canada product page
Strap and regional listing details
MIDO lists a 22 mm strap width and includes an orange rubber strap option for the Multifort TV Big Date. Confirm that a replacement strap is compatible with reference M049.526.33.081.00 and check current availability before ordering; strap fit and regional stock can vary. How this reference fits the Multifort TV Big Date line
The orange-and-black model follows the original 2023 Multifort TV Big Date line and a 2024 “Chocolate” version, according to a watch publication’s December 20, 2024 account. That publication also reported the €1,350 suggested retail price at the time. Time and Watches, December 20, 2024
