It launched in three versions—Steel Midnight Blue, Titanium Coffee Black and a black-and-red Titanium Launch Edition limited to 250 watches—on a shared 41 mm platform with an approximately 60-hour power reserve and Leica’s Easy-Change band system.
What is the Leica ZM 11?
The ZM 11 is Leica’s automatic watch collection, announced by Leica Camera AG on 11 October 2023. Leica planned availability from the end of November 2023 at selected Leica stores in specified markets; that was the launch schedule, not confirmation of current stock. The collection combines a mechanical self-winding movement with a layered dial and case materials in stainless steel or titanium. Leica’s launch announcement describes the design and original release.
Which Leica ZM 11 versions were announced?
The three launch variants differ chiefly in case material, dial treatment and available band configuration. Leica’s announcement names them as follows:
| Version | Case | Dial | Launch detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steel Midnight Blue | 316L stainless steel | Blue and black | Launch price started at €6,800 with a rubber or fabric band, including VAT. |
| Titanium Coffee Black | Grade 5 titanium | Warm black | Leica announced the variant; a separate starting price was not stated in the cited announcement. |
| Titanium Launch Edition | Grade 5 titanium | Black and red | Limited to 250 watches. Leica said the dial’s black-to-red shift changes with viewing angle and is created through mechanical craftsmanship rather than printed graphics. |
Leica’s launch announcement gave a top recommended retail price of €8,150, including VAT, for a titanium model with a full titanium bracelet. The stated launch range therefore ran from €6,800 to €8,150, including VAT; these are October 2023 launch prices, not current quotations. Prices, taxes, configurations and availability can vary by country and date, so ask a local Leica retailer for a current price and stock check.

What is different about the steel and titanium models?
The clearest practical distinction is material and listed weight: Leica specifies the steel case at 78 g and the titanium case at 61 g. The dial also separates the named versions: blue-and-black for Steel Midnight Blue, warm black for Titanium Coffee Black, and black-and-red for the limited Titanium Launch Edition. The listed weights are case-material specifications; they do not establish the finished weight of every band configuration.

When comparing a specific watch, check the complete configuration rather than relying on the variant name alone. Leica lists rubber, Cordura fabric, and integrated steel or titanium bracelets as band options, but the exact available combination depends on the model configuration.
Can you change the Leica ZM 11 band?
Yes. Leica’s Easy-Change system is designed for the ZM 11 and offers vulcanized rubber, Cordura fabric and an integrated metal bracelet in 316L stainless steel or Grade 5 titanium. Leica describes the mechanism as evoking the release on a camera lens. The launch announcement’s red-dot instruction refers to changing the watch’s appearance using the system and compatible band options.

Leica specifies a tang buckle for rubber and textile bands, and a two-pusher butterfly clasp for metal bracelets. The documented options are ZM 11 configurations; the sources do not establish that generic aftermarket straps fit. Confirm compatibility with Leica or the seller before buying a replacement.
