The MING 56.00 Starfield is the independent watchmaker’s first model designed around an integrated bracelet. Its 40 mm polished-steel case, sapphire Mosaic dial and luminous rotor carry familiar MING visual signatures, while a patent-pending tool-less system handles bracelet sizing. Announced in February 2026 as a 20-piece edition at CHF 19,500 excluding taxes, it is currently marked “waitlist” on MING’s collection page.
Why the 56.00 Starfield matters to MING
MING has built its design language around layered sapphire, carefully shaped light and distinctive luminous details. The 56.00 Starfield brings those ideas to an integrated-bracelet sports watch for the first time. As founder Ming Thein put it in an introductory speech, “Of course, you can’t make an integrated bracelet watch without doing something interesting with the bracelet.” (Time+Tide)

The integrated bracelet is not simply an interchangeable strap attached to a conventional case: it is part of the watch’s overall design, and its fit and construction are central to the proposition. MING’s launch materials emphasize the bracelet’s adjustment engineering. However, Hodinkee’s author reported seeing Thein wear the watch at Dubai Watch Week but did not try the bracelet, so that coverage does not establish how it feels on the wrist.
How the bracelet adjustment works
The bracelet has a patent-pending tool-less link-adjustment system, intended to let the wearer resize it without a separate bracelet-sizing tool. The clasp also offers 5 mm of adjustment in 1.25 mm steps, allowing smaller fit changes after the link length has been set. The reported clasp range is 5 mm total; it should not be confused with the larger adjustments made by adding or removing links. (Monochrome Watches)

MING presents the system as part of its approach to comfort, but the available launch coverage does not include an independent wear test of the bracelet. The mechanism and adjustment increments are reported specifications, not a reviewer’s confirmation of comfort.
Case, dial and Starfield effect
The case measures 40 mm in diameter and 9.7 mm thick. It is mirror-polished 316L stainless steel, with sapphire crystals on the front and back; Monochrome reports double-sided anti-reflective coating and 100 m water resistance. These are published specifications rather than independent measurements. (Monochrome Watches)
The dial is a 1.7 mm sapphire element with an internally laser-etched Mosaic structure. Rather than sitting as ordinary applied markers on a flat dial, the laser-cut indices are set into the upper crystal and filled with MING Polar White. The blued hands are treated with Super-LumiNova X1. Together, the layered sapphire and luminous details give the watch depth as well as legibility in low light. (Hodinkee; Monochrome Watches)
The name’s defining visual effect comes from the movement rotor: its proprietary luminous treatment produces the “Starfield” animation visible through the caseback. The watch displays hours and minutes; the animated rotor is a visual feature, not an additional timekeeping complication. (Hodinkee)

Inside is the automatic Vaucher for MING 3002.M1, a twin-barrel caliber running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Published specifications give it an approximately 50-hour power reserve and 28 jewels. Hodinkee notes that the movement is not chronometer-certified. The reserve and frequency are reported specifications, not results of an independent test. (Hodinkee; Monochrome Watches)

Price, launch timing and availability
MING dated its announcement to 9 February 2026. Launch coverage said the 56.00 Starfield would be available from 10 February 2026 at 1 PM GMT through MING and select authorized retailers. The announced price was CHF 19,500 excluding taxes, and production was limited to 20 pieces. Those are launch terms, not a promise of current stock or pricing. (MING press room; Monochrome Watches)
MING’s collection page currently places the watch in its Special Projects Cave grouping with a “waitlist” label. Ace Jewelers has displayed a price of EUR 21,446 excluding VAT; retailer listings and prices can change, and that displayed price does not establish that a piece is in stock. Check directly with MING or an authorized retailer for current availability and applicable taxes. (MING collection; Ace Jewelers)
How it fits the integrated-bracelet category
The 56.00 Starfield joins a broader independent-watch category that includes the Czapek Antarctique, Moser Streamliner and Parmigiani Tonda PF. The available information does not provide a consistent side-by-side comparison of their dimensions, bracelet adjustment, movements, prices or current availability, so a claim that the MING is superior on those measures would go beyond the published facts. Its clear distinction is narrower: MING’s first integrated-bracelet watch pairs a bespoke, tool-less bracelet adjustment concept with the brand’s sapphire-and-lume visual language.
