The Monta Oceanking V3 is the third generation of the brand’s stainless-steel dive watch, announced in 2023. It keeps the familiar 300 m format but refines the dial, bezel, crown and bracelet rather than reinventing the design. Here are the reported specifications, the changes that distinguish V3, and what to know about fit and historical launch pricing.
What is the Monta Oceanking V3?
The Oceanking V3 is Monta’s third-generation Oceanking dive watch. Fratello characterized it as an evolutionary update to the V2, with design and usability revisions across the dial, bezel and bracelet. The launch reference reported by Fratello is 165BK60CK.
What changed from the previous Oceanking?
Dial and date
Fratello reported larger, bolder luminous hour indices and a minute track moved to the outer edge of the dial. The date window is at six o’clock and takes up the full hour-index position, making it a more prominent part of the layout than a smaller date aperture.
Bezel and crown
The V3 uses a ceramic bezel insert with a luminous pip at 12 o’clock and a unidirectional 120-click action. Two Broke Watch Snobs describes a three-ball-bearing bezel assembly. The crown screws down and has a debossed logo, according to Fratello.

Bracelet and adjustment
Launch coverage describes an updated bracelet clasp with quick adjustment. Fratello and Everest Bands report six adjustment positions. Everest Bands praised the watch’s proportions and finishing; Fratello described the design as a more cohesive, mature evolution. Those are editorial assessments, not results from a controlled comparison or independent test.

How should you assess fit and everyday use?
The reported case dimensions put the Oceanking V3 in a compact-for-a-dive-watch range, but diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears. Lug-to-lug length, thickness, the bracelet’s articulation and your wrist shape all matter. The source-specific measurements vary slightly, and none of the cited coverage establishes a guaranteed fit for a particular wrist.

- Compare the reported 47.4–48 mm lug-to-lug length with a watch you already find comfortable.
- Look at the thickness as well as diameter if the watch needs to slide under a cuff.
- Consider whether the six-position quick adjustment suits your day-to-day changes in wrist size.
- For dive-watch use, assess bezel readability and operation alongside the published water-resistance rating; a rating alone does not establish suitability for every activity or condition.
The reported 20 mm lug spacing identifies the width at the lugs, not confirmed compatibility with any particular aftermarket strap. Check fit and end-link or strap compatibility before buying a replacement.

Fratello reported a US$2,225 preorder price in 2023 and US$2,550 after deliveries began in October 2023. These are historical launch figures, not a current quote. A Watch Vault Australia listing describes a 2024 V3 example previously purchased in September 2024; it does not establish current availability of new watches. Check Monta or an authorized seller for current price, stock, available versions and warranty terms.

What to compare before choosing one
If you are weighing the Oceanking V3 against another dive watch, compare the details that affect ownership rather than relying on a broad “better” label:
- Fit: case diameter, thickness, lug-to-lug length and bracelet adjustment.
- Legibility: the dial layout, lume and bezel markings in the conditions where you expect to use the watch.
- Movement: movement architecture and stated power reserve, while distinguishing manufacturer specifications from independently measured performance.
- Dive features: water-resistance rating and the direction, feel and readability of the rotating bezel.
- Ownership terms: current price, availability and warranty for the specific seller and region.
The available launch coverage establishes the V3’s published specifications and design revisions, but not a controlled head-to-head performance result against other watches.
