Orient Star announced the M45 F7 Small Second in February 2026 as a three-reference Classic Collection range. Each version pairs a 39 mm case with the automatic, hand-winding F7H44 movement, a small-seconds display and a power-reserve indicator. There is no date. The green and ivory watches are regular models; the grey RE-BS0003N is a 500-piece 75th-anniversary edition.
Three references, distinguished by dial and edition
The range comprises two regular models and one limited edition. Orient Star’s product pages list March 2026 as the launch timing for the individual watches.

The announcement describes anniversary marking and serial engraving on the limited edition. Orient Star’s description likens its dial treatment to stardust or stars at night; that is the manufacturer’s design language, not a performance or material claim. Orient Star’s February 4, 2026 announcement introduces the limited model alongside the two regular references.

These are manufacturer specifications rather than independent timing, water-resistance or wear-test results. The stated water-resistance rating is 3 bar (30 m); it does not by itself establish suitability for a particular activity.
A restrained display, with no date
The dial layout keeps the hours and minutes, small seconds and power-reserve indicator, omitting a date window. Orient Star describes the green and ivory dials as combining matte texture with sandblast and sunburst finishes. Their leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, Roman numerals and railway-track minute scale reinforce the traditional styling. The company says the sandblasted power-reserve indicator is intended to look visually uniform while remaining distinct.

The grey anniversary dial uses a fine-grained stamped texture with a sunburst finish. The three treatments provide the main visual distinction within a range whose published movement and case dimensions are otherwise shared.
How the 39 mm case may fit
Orient Star lists a 39.0 mm case width, 45.7 mm height and 11.7 mm thickness, along with a 20 mm strap and a stated wrist range of 150–190 mm. Those figures are useful starting points, but they cannot establish individual comfort or fit. Wrist shape, preferred tightness and how a watch sits on the wrist matter as well.

Collection context and what remains unverified
The M45 belongs to Orient Star’s Classic Collection. The brand says the collection draws inspiration from the Pleiades star cluster—known as “Subaru” in Japan—and the idea of time’s eternal flow. Its collection page uses the phrase “A Silent Breath, a Subtle Gleam.” In the launch announcement, Orient Star calls the range’s approach “ideal simplicity”; that wording is the company’s characterization, not an independent review.
