The Raketa Copernic turns the dial into a miniature planetary diagram: two circular hands move around a central stone “Sun,” against an aventurine surface meant to evoke a starry sky. Raketa currently lists the Copernicus 0307, reference W-13-16-30-0307, in its Curiosity collection. Its published specifications include a 39.5 mm steel case and an automatic movement with a stated 40-hour running time.
What is the Raketa Copernic?
The Copernic—also presented as Copernicus on Raketa’s current product page—is an automatic mechanical wristwatch whose unusual hands replace conventional straight pointers with circular forms. The dial pairs aventurine, which Raketa describes as resembling a starry sky, with a central agate circle representing the Sun. The hands’ positions relative to that center and to each other indicate the time.
Raketa lists the current model as the Copernicus 0307, reference W-13-16-30-0307, in its Curiosity collection. The design draws on the astronomical association with Nicolaus Copernicus, but the dial is a stylized visual analogy rather than a literal scale model of the solar system.
How do you read the Raketa Copernic?
Read the two rings as you would hour and minute hands, while tracking their position around the central agate Sun. The larger circular hand indicates minutes; the smaller circular hand indicates hours. For an exact reading, note where each hand sits on its orbit and interpret it in the usual 60-minute and 12-hour cycles.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Europa Star’s historical account describes the original design concept as the larger minute-hand circle representing Earth and the smaller hour-hand circle representing Jupiter. It explains the analogy through their orbital periods: Earth’s one-year circuit and Jupiter’s twelve-year circuit parallel the hands’ one-hour and twelve-hour circuits. This is a conceptual explanation of the design, not a claim that the hands reproduce the planets’ actual motion.

How the 0307 differs from earlier Copernic watches
Europa Star reports that the Copernicus model was initially developed in 1965. That date and the Earth-and-Jupiter interpretation are historical reporting from Europa Star, not independently established here from archival records. Its article provides context for the design, but it does not establish that earlier examples shared the current 0307’s case, movement, dimensions, or water resistance.

When comparing a vintage Copernic/Copernicus or the 2021 limited edition with the current 0307, identify the exact reference and generation first. Then compare:
- Case material, finish, dimensions, and condition.
- Dial materials and construction.
- Movement, winding system, and service history.
- Water-resistance rating and whether it remains credible for the particular watch.
- Whether the watch is new, vintage, or a limited-edition example.
Europa Star gives a historical €2,200 including-VAT price for the model covered in its article. That figure is not a current quote for the 0307 and should not be compared directly with Raketa’s presently displayed €2,600 without accounting for date, market, reference, and pricing context.

Buying and strap considerations
Raketa’s official product page is the direct listing for the current model. The displayed price and availability can change, and the page calculates VAT after a delivery country is selected, so check the live listing for the destination before purchase. The listed 22 mm quick-change strap provides an accessory route, but strap width alone does not prove that every third-party quick-release strap or connector will fit; confirm the attachment and lug configuration for the specific strap.
Manufacturer specifications do not substitute for an independent timing test, and the listed average rate is not a guarantee of the accuracy of an individual watch. Ask the seller about condition, servicing, and warranty coverage for the particular piece being offered.
