The Ressence TYPE 7 brings two firsts for the brand together: a GMT function and a titanium bracelet. It pairs Ressence’s orbiting display with a 41 mm Grade 5 titanium case, an oil-filled upper display chamber and an integrated bracelet. Those features give the TYPE 7 a sportier, more tool-watch-oriented format without abandoning the brand’s distinctive way of showing time.
Two Ressence firsts in one watch
Ressence describes the TYPE 7 as its first watch with a GMT function and its first with a titanium bracelet. The launch combines those additions with the brand’s orbital display system, in which indications are arranged on rotating discs rather than conventional central hands. The TYPE 7’s GMT indication is integrated into that display and is intended to track a second time zone, according to the official TYPE 7 page.
The design also shifts the presentation toward a sport-chic, tool-watch format: a fixed ceramic bezel, 5 ATM water resistance and an integrated titanium bracelet. That describes the configuration, not a comparative performance result; no independent testing is established here.
How the display and oil-filled construction work
The manufacturer says the display is oil-filled to eliminate refraction and improve legibility. Ressence lists two separate sealed chambers, with 2.95 ml of oil in the upper chamber. It also specifies magnetic transmission from air to oil and a compensating bellows system. These are the brand’s explanations and technical specifications, not independently verified findings.

The display is a convex Grade 5 titanium dial with three eccentric biaxial satellites. It presents hours, minutes and GMT, as well as a 120-second runner/shock absorber and an oil-temperature indication shown by color. Engraved indications are filled with Super-LumiNova. Ressence says the GMT is built into the display to show a second time zone. The published material cited here does not establish an independently measured accuracy result or explain enough about setting the indication to make claims about adjustment speed or ease. Readers who need a particular setting procedure should consult Ressence for the specific reference.
Bracelet and straps
The integrated bracelet is Grade 5 titanium and its deployant clasp offers five adjustment positions, according to the manufacturer. Optional leather or rubber straps are also listed. Ressence’s collection page displays TYPE 7 B, C and XV variants at €47,700, and the captured page state marks some as sold out. The listed 41 mm by 14 mm dimensions, titanium construction, 5 ATM rating, oil-filled display and 36-hour stated power reserve provide concrete points for assessing the watch. They do not, by themselves, establish how the watch wears on a particular wrist, how legible it is in everyday conditions, how accurately its GMT tracks time, or how it performs over time. Ressence’s statements about improved legibility and second-time-zone tracking should be understood as the manufacturer’s stated design rationale and intended function.
