Contemporary reviews also describe basic activity tracking and phone-connected features, but report uneven smartphone integration. Its specifications and price below are historical review-era information—not a guarantee of current compatibility, availability, or support.
What kind of smartwatch was the iRadish Y6?
Reviews published in 2015 describe the GearBest iRadish Y6 as a standalone-capable watch with a micro-SIM slot, speaker, camera and phone functions. It also offered more conventional smartwatch features such as notifications, reminders, a pedometer and sleep monitoring. That combination made it closer to a compact wrist-worn phone with basic watch functions than to a modern companion watch focused on a polished smartphone ecosystem.
The feature list comes from period reviews, not a current manufacturer specification sheet. The model name is also ambiguous: a 2024 Y6 manual filing names Shenzhen Buzz Tech, but the available evidence does not establish that it is related to the iRadish watch.

What did the features do in practice?
Standalone calling and phone functions
Contemporary reviewers describe inserting a SIM to use the Y6 for calls and other phone functions without relying entirely on a paired smartphone. That independence was the watch’s clearest distinction from notification-only wearables. The reviews do not establish present-day carrier compatibility, network support, or whether a particular unit can still be activated.
Activity tracking and notifications
The reported feature set included a pedometer, sleep monitoring, reminders and notifications. These reports establish that the functions were advertised or available to reviewers; they do not provide accuracy testing comparable to a modern fitness tracker.

Display and camera
One reviewer found the screen difficult to read in bright sunlight. The 0.3 MP camera was also described as low quality or of limited practical use. Those are individual reviewer assessments, not controlled measurements, and the camera should be understood as a basic extra rather than a reason to choose the watch.
Android and iPhone compatibility
Compatibility reports from 2015 were mixed. TheTechHacker characterized the watch as Android-compatible. MacSources reported easy pairing with an iPhone 6 but said notifications were unavailable because the relevant app was not available to that reviewer. Another contemporary review cautioned iOS users against expecting full functionality. These observations describe the reviewers’ experience at the time; they are not a current compatibility guarantee.

For a legacy unit, treat app availability and phone integration as unresolved until confirmed with the exact watch and phone you intend to use. Standalone SIM functions and phone-tethered features are separate: success with one does not establish that the other works.
What did the iRadish Y6 cost?
MacSources recorded a price of $33.66 in August 2015. That is a historical price only, not a present-day estimate. Current stock for the exact iRadish Y6 has not been verified, and a listing using “Y6” alone may refer to a different watch.

Should you buy one now?
The old reviews make the Y6 interesting as an example of an inexpensive standalone-capable smartwatch, but they cannot establish whether a usable unit, compatible app, or replacement parts can be obtained today. Before considering a second-hand or newly listed watch, check the exact model identity and inspect the individual unit.
- Confirm the listing identifies the iRadish model, rather than relying on “Y6” in the title.
- Ask whether the watch powers on, charges, reads a SIM and places a call on the network you plan to use.
- Check whether its phone app is available for your current Android or iOS version, and verify the specific features you need.
- Inspect the charging connector and band dimensions on the actual unit. Reviews mention micro-USB charging and a silicone band, but do not establish compatible replacement cables or straps.
The 2015 GadgetGear.nl review gave the watch a 7/10 rating; that is one reviewer’s score, not a benchmark or an assessment of present-day value.
