Its meteorite-dial configuration is the unusual version: Rolex’s brochure identifies it as the only GMT-Master II with a meteorite dial. Sotheby’s described that version as discontinued in a 2026 catalog, so buyers are primarily evaluating pre-owned examples rather than choosing a current production watch. This is a source-based review of its specifications, function and buying considerations—not a hands-on test.
What is the Rolex GMT-Master II 126719BLRO?
Reference 126719BLRO is a white-gold GMT-Master II with a two-colour red-and-blue Cerachrom bezel. The meteorite-dial configuration is commonly identified in catalog material by the fuller reference 126719BLRO-0002; not every 126719BLRO has a meteorite dial. Rolex’s brochure describes meteorite as unique among GMT-Master II dials, while Sotheby’s says this version was introduced in 2019. Rolex’s GMT-Master II family information and Sotheby’s 2026 catalog listing provide the cited model context.
Is the meteorite 126719BLRO discontinued?
Sotheby’s describes the meteorite model as discontinued on its 2026 auction page. Rolex’s current GMT-Master II family page reviewed for this article does not display reference 126719BLRO. The exact date Rolex withdrew it from production is not established by these sources, so “discontinued” should be understood as the status reported in 2026, not a confirmed last-production date. A Tourneau Rolex Certified Pre-Owned listing documents a 2019 126719BLRO-0002 example, but listing stock and terms can change; it is not evidence of continuing availability. How does the GMT-Master II show a second time zone?
The calibre 3285 supports local time on a conventional 12-hour display and a second time zone on a 24-hour display. The dedicated GMT hand points to the bezel’s 24-hour scale; rotating the bidirectional bezel changes the reference offset, allowing the wearer to read another time zone. The GMT function belongs to the movement and watch family, not specifically to the meteorite dial. Rolex explains the operation in its GMT-Master II model information.
What distinguishes the meteorite dial?
The dial material, rather than the GMT mechanism, is the key distinction of the -0002 configuration. Rolex’s brochure calls meteorite unique among GMT-Master II models. The cited sources establish that distinction but do not provide a controlled comparison with the blue-dial version or independent assessments of dial variation, finishing, or legibility. When considering a listing, confirm that it is actually the meteorite configuration and that the reference and dial description agree; the broader 126719BLRO reference alone does not establish the dial type.

What does the available auction estimate say about value?
Sotheby’s recorded an estimate of CHF 26,000–45,000 for one cataloged lot in 2026. The page labels the lot closed, but the accessible result requires login. That estimate is not a realized sale price, current asking price, or market-wide valuation, and it should not be converted into a dollar value or used to infer appreciation. Compare any specific offer against its exact configuration, condition, documentation, seller terms, and date rather than treating one auction estimate as a price benchmark. Sotheby’s lot 212
What should you check when buying a pre-owned 126719BLRO?
- Exact configuration: Confirm whether the watch is the meteorite-dial -0002 variant or another 126719BLRO configuration.
- Condition and service history: Ask for a clear account of condition and any documented service. Rolex recommends periodic professional servicing through an Official Rolex Retailer or Service Centre; its cited guidance does not set a fixed interval. Rolex service guidance
- Documentation and provenance: Review the available papers and records, but do not treat papers alone as proof of authenticity; the sources do not establish a universal independent-authentication checklist.
- Fit and completeness: Check bracelet fit and whether the included box, papers, and other items match what the seller claims.
- Seller protections: Understand return terms and precisely what authentication, servicing, and guarantee are included. A dealer’s own guarantee is not the Rolex Certified Pre-Owned program.
Rolex Certified Pre-Owned
Rolex says its Certified Pre-Owned program is offered through participating Official Rolex Retailers for second-hand watches at least two years old. Under the program, watches are authenticated and fully serviced and receive a two-year international guarantee. Those are program terms, not assurances that apply to every pre-owned dealer or auction listing. Rolex Certified Pre-Owned program and Rolex certification process

Review verdict
The 126719BLRO meteorite is a distinctive combination of white gold, the familiar red-and-blue 24-hour bezel, and a dial Rolex says is unique within the GMT-Master II line. Its core appeal is the specific material-and-dial configuration; its practical GMT function comes from calibre 3285. Since the model is described as discontinued in 2026, the decision is less about choosing a new-production variant and more about verifying an individual pre-owned watch and the protections attached to its sale. There is no hands-on timing, wear, or condition assessment here.
