Nixon’s current FAQ says 550 beaches are available across its tide-watch range. That is a current range-level statement, not a verified LoDown specification. The same FAQ says a missing spot can be manually set using a basic tide function on applicable models; check the LoDown manual for its own instructions before relying on that option.
A tide display is a timing aid, not a complete surf forecast. The cited product and support information does not establish that a watch reading predicts surf quality or replaces local conditions information.

Is the Nixon LoDown suitable for use in the water?
The available LoDown instructions do not verify its water-resistance rating.
