Seiko’s Resident Evil: Death Island collaboration comprises two limited Astron GPS Solar watches: Leon S. Kennedy’s SSH131 (Japan reference SBXC131) and Chris Redfield’s SSH129 (Japan reference SBXC129). Seiko says each is limited to 600 pieces worldwide; its Japan store lists 300 pieces per model for Japan. The store listed the Leon model at ¥319,000 and the Chris model at ¥330,000, including tax, and marked both listings unavailable when checked. Those Japan listings do not establish availability elsewhere.
Which watch represents Leon, and which represents Chris?
Seiko’s international collaboration page uses references SSH131 for Leon S. Kennedy and SSH129 for Chris Redfield. The Japan store uses the corresponding domestic references SBXC131 and SBXC129. The two reference pairs identify the same respective collaboration models, not four different watches. Seiko’s collaboration page says the characters appear in the computer-animated film Resident Evil: Death Island wearing Astron models created for the film. Capcom’s official Resident Evil portal also announced the collaboration.

Both case backs carry the Resident Evil: Death Island title logo, a “Limited Edition” marking and an individual serial number. Seiko states a 600-piece limit for each model; the Japan store specifies that 300 of each are for Japan. The Japan figures are allocations, not an additional quantity on top of the stated 600-piece limit.
How much do the watches cost, and are they available?
The official Japan store lists SBXC131 at ¥319,000 including tax and SBXC129 at ¥330,000 including tax. These are Japan listing prices, not global prices or a current estimate of resale value. Seiko’s Japan pages for the Leon SBXC131 and Chris SBXC129 were marked unavailable when checked. That status applies to those listings at that time; it does not show whether either watch is in stock through sellers in other countries, at physical stores, or on resale marketplaces.

What technology do both editions use?
Both are Astron GPS Solar models using Seiko Caliber 5X53. Seiko says GPS satellite data supports location and time-zone adjustment. That describes a way for the watch to adjust its time using satellite data; it should not be read as continuous tracking of the wearer.
Seiko dates the Astron GPS Solar watch’s launch to September 2012: “The Seiko Astron GPS solar watch was launched in September 2012.” — Seiko Watch Corporation. The collaboration page also describes the Resident Evil franchise as having sold over 130 million copies worldwide. Seiko’s page does not state a year for that figure, so it is best understood as the figure shown on that page, not a dated current total.
