The specifications below are maker-stated, not the result of hands-on testing.
What the Selten M1 Moonphase offers
Selten describes the M1 as an automatic watch powered by a modified Miyota 9015. Its listed dimensions are 39 mm in diameter, 45.5 mm lug-to-lug, 11.4 mm thick, with 20 mm lugs. The case is 316L stainless steel, the crystal is sapphire, and the caseback is exhibition-style with a custom rotor. Selten lists water resistance at 5 ATM. The dial is the main choice between versions. All five share the listed dimensions, movement and two-hand display, but the materials and some crystal-coating details differ.

How to choose by appearance
- Meteorite: the option to consider if you want the visual texture of a natural meteorite dial.
- Aventurine: the dark-blue choice among the three $799 versions.
- Musou Black: the starkest listed dial treatment, with double AR coating noted by Selten.
- White or Tahitian black mother-of-pearl: the two $899 guilloche versions if you prefer a textured shell dial.
How does the moonphase work, and how accurate is it?
Selten says a 59-tooth gear advances one notch every 24 hours and that the moonphase indicator should need adjustment about every three years. That is the maker’s explanation and expectation; the reviewed product pages do not provide an independently measured accuracy result or a detailed derivation of the adjustment interval. Treat the three-year figure as a brand claim, not a verified service interval. Selten’s product description contains the mechanism explanation.
The display has hour and minute hands but no seconds hand. That creates a notably spare face, but also means there is no seconds hand to use for a quick visual check of running or setting. No independent timing test or wear trial was available to establish accuracy, legibility or day-to-day performance.

What the movement information does—and does not—tell you
Selten identifies the movement as a modified Miyota 9015 automatic. A secondary model listing by Time Workshop, published May 27, 2026, gives a 42-hour power reserve and 28,800 vph frequency for the customized movement. Selten’s reviewed product pages do not confirm those figures, so they should be treated as secondary-source specifications rather than independently established performance. Neither source supplies a watch-specific timing result.
Will the 39 mm case suit you?
The listed 45.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement is useful alongside the 39 mm diameter when judging fit; case diameter alone does not tell the whole story. The 11.4 mm thickness and 20 mm lug width add further sizing context. The M1 is not within the 36–38 mm range some shoppers seek: one public forum post, for example, asks for a 36–38 mm moonphase under $1,000. That single post is an individual request, not evidence of a broad preference. No wear test establishes how the M1 sits on different wrists, so compare its dimensions with a watch you already find comfortable.

Straps, water resistance and purchase terms
Strap fit
Selten says the box includes a curved-lug black leather strap made by HasNoBounds, a cleaning cloth, warranty card and manual card. The 20 mm lugs and double lug holes are described as accommodating straight and curved straps. A 20 mm strap is the relevant starting size, but confirm spring-bar placement and curved-lug geometry for any replacement before buying. Selten’s Aventurine page describes the included strap and lug fit.
Water resistance
Selten lists 5 ATM water resistance. That is a maker-stated rating; no independent water-resistance test was found. Do not treat the listing as proof of performance on a particular watch or assume it overrides care guidance from the manufacturer.

Warranty, taxes and shipping
Selten states a two-year warranty beginning on shipment and excludes damage caused by abnormal use, neglect, accidents, improper handling or failure to follow care instructions. Its product terms say taxes and customs fees are not included. The same page describes temporary, destination-sensitive US shipping arrangements: DDU when the tariff rate is at or below 15%, and a possible local-assembly or DDP route above that threshold. Because the arrangements are described as temporary, confirm current checkout, shipping and import charges for your destination.
