Its white-lacquer version, reference Q540532J, was announced on 8 April 2025 as a limited edition of 100 pieces. Instead of a battery or routine winding, it uses changes in ambient air temperature to wind its drive spring.
How does the Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Infinite Halo work?
A hermetically sealed, gas-filled capsule responds to small changes in the surrounding air temperature. As the gas changes volume, it moves a membrane connected to the clock’s drive spring, winding the spring and supplying energy to the mechanism. Jaeger-LeCoultre says a temperature change of 1°C provides about 48 hours—roughly two days—of operating autonomy. This is the manufacturer’s description of the mechanism, not a claim of perpetual motion or freedom from eventual service.
The Atmos does not use a conventional battery and is not wound by hand as a typical mechanical clock is. It harvests minute shifts in its environment; it still depends on those temperature changes to replenish its energy.
What is distinctive about the 2025 white-dial edition?
White lacquer and the ‘Halo’ shape
The 2025 interpretation pairs a white-lacquer dial with a cylindrical glass cabinet that leaves the movement visible. The dial is formed from two circles; Jaeger-LeCoultre says the ‘Halo’ name refers to its shape and to the luminous ring around the sun or moon. The brand describes the design as a modern take on the Art Deco glass-box Atmos and an echo of early rounded bell-jar models.

According to the manufacturer’s 8 April 2025 announcement, the dial receives ten coats of lacquer, with controlled drying after each layer. The cabinet measures 215 mm in diameter and 253 mm in height, according to the same release. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s announcement also describes the open construction, which exposes the membrane, chain and annular balance.
Calibre 570
The in-house Calibre 570 drives the hours and minutes. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s product page lists 184 components, 15 jewels, one barrel and a 60-second oscillation for the annular balance. These specifications apply to this reference; they should not be assumed to describe every Atmos clock. The official product page identifies it as Q540532J (also rendered JLQ540532J on that page).

How much does the Atmos Infinite ‘Halo’ cost, and is it available?
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s regional EU pages showed different prices at the time they were checked: €22,700 on the English-language page and €22,500 on the French-language page. Those figures are not a definitive or universal price; the brand’s official product page directs visitors to boutique contact and availability options rather than guaranteeing stock. Ask a local Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique for the current price and whether a piece can be obtained in your market.
The 100-piece figure refers to the announced limited edition, not to current availability. The manufacturer’s announcement and product page do not establish present stock, a service interval, or transport and setup instructions.
