The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph WT is a 44 mm titanium automatic chronograph that adds a world-time display for 24 cities. JLC lists the researched references, Q905T471 and Q905T480, as “Out of collection”; its US product pages give no current price. The available information establishes published specifications, not firsthand inspection of a WT example, so this guide distinguishes manufacturer and launch-era details from hands-on findings.
What is the Polaris Chronograph WT?
WT stands for World Time. The model combines a chronograph with a display intended to show the time in 24 key cities. Jaeger-LeCoultre describes its 44 mm titanium case as featuring “two complications: a chronograph with twin counters and the time in the world’s 24 key cities.” Jaeger-LeCoultre

It belongs to the Polaris collection, whose sporting heritage JLC traces to the 1968 Memovox Polaris, a large-cased watch with an alarm. That history provides context for the collection; it does not make the modern Chronograph WT a dive watch.

How does the world-time display work?
According to retailer Watches of Switzerland, turning the crown at 10 o’clock moves the day/night disk to show the corresponding time for a city. Its description also notes a small white triangle beside cities that observe summer and winter time, reminding the wearer to account for seasonal clock changes. Watches of Switzerland
The retailer describes the chronograph as having a central chronograph-seconds hand and 30-minute and 12-hour counters. This is retailer-published operating information; consult the watch’s instructions for the precise setting and operating procedure for a particular example. Watches of Switzerland

The WT’s defining addition is the world-time display. It should not be confused with the standard Polaris Chronograph covered in Fratello’s March 2019 hands-on article: that is a 42 mm stainless-steel reference 9028471 with Caliber 751H, not the 44 mm titanium WT with Caliber 752. Fratello
Fratello’s reviewer reported a chronograph-counter behavior on the sample of the standard model he handled, and speculated about a possible flaw. That observation concerns a different reference and sample; it is not evidence of a known WT defect. It also cannot substitute for inspection of an individual WT.

Is this a hands-on review?
No firsthand inspection of a Polaris Chronograph WT is established here. The dimensions, functions and movement details above are published specifications, and the world-time operating description is attributed to a retailer. No claims are made about wrist fit, tactile feel, measured timing performance or the legibility of a particular example. Fratello’s hands-on piece concerns the standard Polaris Chronograph, not the WT. Fratello
What to check when considering a WT
Because JLC marks the researched references out of collection, evaluate the specific watch and seller rather than relying on old launch pricing or a listing title alone. Compare examples using:
- Exact reference, case material and the presence and operation of the world-time display.
- Condition, including the case, dial, hands, chronograph function and world-time indications.
- Documented service history, seller authentication, warranty coverage and return terms.
- The actual asking price in its currency and on the date you assess it; retailer prices and availability can change.
- Whether the 44 mm case and information-dense dial work for your own wrist and vision. Those are personal fit and legibility questions, not universal conclusions.
JLC’s US pages direct prospective buyers to Personal Advisors, while retailer and pre-owned listings may vary by region and date. Verify inventory, included accessories and the terms of sale directly with the seller. Jaeger-LeCoultre
